2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. That car was going to be purple (my favorite color) and would have wood wheels so that I ... By A. Marbach When I was in college- I read a lot of children’s books. Why? I was a liberal studies major with a CLAD (Culture and Language Development) emphasis - meaning that I was in the grammar school teaching credential track. I took multiple literature course including one specifically on multicultural children’s literature. I learned how to evaluate children's books on cultural diversity, language development and more. It’s a skill I wouldn’t ever put into use beyond buying the occasional book for my three nephews since my actual job has nothing to do with children or literature. When the oldest nephew of my three nephews was three (he is now 7) he had overheard me talking about a leaky tire I had on my car. He told me he was going to build me a car. That car was going to be purple (my favorite color) and would have wood wheels so that I wouldn’t have to worry about getting a flat tire and he was going to build it for me in his garage. He has always been very mechanically inclined and minded. I remember when we had some plumbing work done on our house he sat on the front lawn putting all the pipes together in a specific order to create some sort of pipeline that made sense to him. When he was in first grade he was in a special after school program that partnered with NASA to learn all about space. The kid is smart and when I was offered a copy of the children’s book How To Build A Car I immediately thought of him. When I got the book I couldn’t wait to share it with him.How To Build A Car follows three friends on their mission to build a car. It follows three friends Eli the mouse, Hank the frog and Phoebe the bird. Eli’s has a huge imagination and has a great idea to make a real working race car. He gets his friends Hank and Phoebe to help him with his grand idea. With imagination and teamwork the trio work hard and persevere to build a real miniature race car.My dad actually ended up reading the book to my nephew and then him and I talked about it when I got home later in the day. He really liked the book- especially the pictures that showed how the car parts worked. He was especially interested in the parts about the pistons (those are his actual words which I think he learned from the book). This book is great for those mechanically minded children- like my nephew. You know the ones who like to think about how things work and why they work the way they do. The illustrations by Martin Sodomka are very kid friendly- even the schematics of the car that they are building. The story of the book by author Saskia Lacey is engaging and held his attention and encourages it’s young readers to brainstorm and think through problems. The book itself is a 9 in by 9 in 64 page book with at least 100 color illustrations. The target audience for this book according to the information sheet from the publisher is ages 6-8 (grades 1-3).(review also appears on badgroove.com)

Great book for young people (kids) with great illustrations By Living For God Productions Great book for young people (kids) with great illustrations.Warning, there is one statement that is not correct when talking about what a carburetor does. But the rest of the book is very nice!

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Three friends work together to build a dream Book will lead to other activities By DogsMom I think every library should have this book, and probably the whole series, for story time.I loved the idea of three very different friends working together to make a dream come true. The illustrations are fantastic! I only wish there HAD been more pawprints in the paint.I liked that Eli was wearing proper eye and breathing protection, even if he is not human.I loved how Phoebe helped drop the body on the chassis. While simplistic for young children to understand the process, the labels and information are enough to grab an older child's interest and get them to thinking about working on a project like this with friends and an adult. One of my favorite descriptions was of the car body:It keeps everyone inside the car safe. And CAR MANIACS can obsess over making it look beautiful.I enjoyed the idea of naming the car and the delightful name they agreed upon. After the story section ends, as well as throughout the book, there are more illustrations, labels and explanations for children to look over, study, and which will generate questions and ideas. It would lead to other home school or classroom activities.I did win this book through a Goodreads giveaway but I look forward to reading more by this author/illustrator team.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. A wonderful story By phil price This is not the genre that I would normally read. It looked like a romance novel. I took it on a recommendation. I’m so glad I did.The story is told from the perspectives of Heather and Billy. It tells the story of a broken man who has to track down his lost love. But it’s not quite that simple. There are many shadowy elements to the story that will keep you on your toes right to the end. As a story in itself it is superbly done. It has elements of cat and mouse, loss, love, action, and mystery. But it’s the way the author brings it all together that makes the book leap out at you. The story between Heather and Billy is told with such passion and force that it will leave you spent. The pages unfold with thoughts from them both, giving the reader insight into each character. The love and tension between them is such, that the reader cannot wait to turn the pages to see what the other is thinking. You can see the commitment and skill with which Miss Miles weaves her web around them.I now need to read her first and third book as it looks like they all connected. This could be made into a mini-series. It’s that good. Well done.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A page turner... By Becky This is the first book by this author I've read, but now feel the need to read her other two books as well...her writing is just that good. This is the story of Billy and Heather told from both of their first person views. One might think that can get too busy or confusing, but Ms Miles does a wonderful job of weaving their thoughts and actions in such a way that the reader is captivated. There are enough different elements contained within the story that it could appeal to a wide range of readers...it is not simply a love story. It is the story of a lost man driven to recapture what his past life has cost him...and the woman that drives him. But equally, she's driving herself from the love she lost as well. This book was provided by the author for my honest review.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Promising author By Amazon Customer I really enjoyed Back To Me, especially how the characters move through difficult situations and make the best of them. I suppose this is a stand alone novel, but I think readers would enjoy reading the series. The first book, Montana Sky, was released in 2014 and the author, Kelly Miles, is writing another to be released this year. I am excited to see how the stories play out.

The book is adorable (like the rest of the Sofia books) beautifully illustrated, very creative and of course each book includes a classic princess. This one is about Aunt Tilly visiting and together her and Sofia enter a Secret Library through secret passageways under the castle. Together they finish the library of unfinished stories. Princess Merida comes to help Sofia believe in herself to help Mozzimo free himself from his master Prince Roderick.

It's a true rags to riches story that fills the hearts and minds of little girls everywhere with hope. Don't tell him I said this but even my seven year old boy loves to watch Sofia for some reason! It's one of those shows that captivates all that watch and the books are no different! We ready Sofia the First The Secret Library together and it was one of those books they immediately request to read again, and again, and again... Even the cover is magical with it's raised print, glitter and shimmer everywhere!! It's just one of those inviting books. I'm always amazed by Disney and that even their books can appear magical!I'm a little jealous of Sofia in this story! As an avid reader I would love to find a secret magical library! Of course I'd also love to live in a castle WITH a secret library! In addition to her discovery, sh finds that she has the power to give each story a happy ending. Wouldn't that be nice?We also have a special guest appearance by Princess Merida in this book and she gives Sofia a little help in the happy ending department because of course it can never be super easy! The book is written much like the show so I felt like I was just directing an episode. Since I've watched it so much it was fun to do all the character voices with my kids. The font, the colors, the illustrations and everything about this book truly bring the magic of the show to life.If you have a little princess, OR prince, they will love this book for Christmas! As a mom I can testify that moms will enjoy reading The Secret Library to their little ones this holiday season!Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

Sofia's aunt introduces her to a secret library which contains unfinished stories. Sofia is given an opportunity to complete one of the stories. This is where the adventure begins for Sofia. The story line was fun to read. The story kept the reader engaged until the very end due to the challenges Sofia had along the way. Sofia showed determination and perseverance in completing the task her aunt gave her.Grace Lee's illustrations are colorful and full of details your child will enjoy .As I finished the story, I thought, with all the unfinished books in the secret library, this book could be the first of many unfinished stories that Sofia will finish. The new stories will definitely be full of adventure.*I received this for review - all opinions are my own*

Just as Pram is beginning to embrace a more ordinary life, however, her extraordinary nature puts her in danger. The mysterious Madame Savant is more than willing to kidnap and murder to get what she wants—and she means to use Pram's abilities to fuel her own ambitions. Bereft of friends and family and struggling with powers she's just beginning to understand, Pram has to break free of her captors. DeStefano's story is startlingly dark, with mature themes of death, madness, and suicide coupled with a lively paranormal adventure. The author explores not only the mysteries of the beyond but also the impact of absent parents and the healing powers of friendship. While the emotionally charged narrative is less likely to satisfy those looking for a spooky thrill, more sophisticated readers will appreciate the vivid characters with rich internal lives. VERDICT Readers who enjoyed A.J. Paquette's Rules for Ghosting (Bloomsbury, 2013) and Grave Images by Jenny Goebel (Scholastic, 2013) will want to give this title a try.—Stephanie Whelan, New York Public Library

Review

“Readers will be hooked from the first line of this lyrical and suspenseful mystery/fantasy (part thriller too) of a brave and compassionate girl. . . . DeStefano artfully concocts a moving and multilayered tale that is an effective mix of genres and tones, at times contemplative and philosophical yet also macabre and psychologically sophisticated. Love, loss, and hope are at the heart of this exciting read.” ―Kirkus Reviews

“The perfect book to hand to readers looking for the mysterious and spooky.” ―Booklist

“DeStefano creates a beguiling world through haunting images and descriptions. . . An eerie, moving story about 'that murky place between this world and the one that comes after it.'” ―Publishers Weekly

“Startlingly dark. . . Sophisticated readers will appreciate the vivid characters with rich internal lives. Readers who enjoyed A.J. Paquette's Rules for Ghosting and Grave Images by Jenny Goebel will want to give this title a try.” ―School Library Journal

“The voice of this dark but often funny novel is as pragmatic as Pram, matter-of-factly acknowledging truths its characters need to know, even when those truths are unpleasant. . . Fans of Holly Black's Doll Bones may well enjoy this creepy, character-based tale.” ―The Horn Book

“A harrowing debut. . . . DeStefano has an observant eye.” ―Publishers Weekly on WITHER

“A concoction of tension and love with a cliff-hanger ending.” ―School Library Journal on PERFECT RUIN: THE INTERNMENT CHRONICLES BOOK 1

“DeStefano has created a perfect storm--intertwining plot, characters, and setting beautifully. . . . This is a page-turner, and waiting for the next book will be hard, hard, hard.” ―Booklist on PERFECT RUIN: THE INTERNMENT CHRONICLES BOOK 1

Pram’s adventures are exciting and touching, making A CURIOUS TALE OF THE IN-BETWEEN a gripping story that I couldn't put down By KidsReads Lauren DeStefano --- author of the young adult series the Internment Chronicles and the Chemical Garden Trilogy --- delivers A CURIOUS TALE OF THE IN-BETWEEN, a magical middle grade novel following a young girl named Pram.Pram, short for Pragmatic, is raised by her aunts in a home for the elderly. Her only friend growing up was Felix, a ghost only she could see. However, when Pram starts going to public school, she befriends a boy named Clarence who is grieving for his late mother. The three of them search for Pram’s mystery father and the ghost of Clarence’s mother and find plenty of adventure on the way.At the start of the story, I found myself wondering if A CURIOUS TALE OF THE IN-BETWEEN should truly be middle grade. The opening scene describes a nurse discovering a pregnant woman, Pram’s mother, hanging from a dogwood tree. If the reader is comfortable with that passage, the tale DeStefano weaves is great for that age range. There is an eerie tone in this book, and the presence of ghosts and a spirit world make it an amazing read to prepare for the Halloween season. However, just like I believe that this middle grade book is great for readers above that age range, it would also be a good read at all times of the year.Pram’s adventures are both exciting and touching, making A CURIOUS TALE OF THE IN-BETWEEN a gripping story that I could not put down.DeStefano knows how to build enchanting characters. As a curious young girl with an ability to see ghosts, Pram sees the world through a unique perspective. She is an intelligent, caring girl who comes into herself throughout the tale. As Clarence, another complex character, grows closer to Pram, he teaches both her and the readers about the meaning of friendship. At its heart, A CURIOUS TALE OF THE IN-BETWEEN is about two grieving 11-year-olds, and their experiences navigating loss will teach readers of any age different outlooks on death and how to deal with death in their own lives. The amazing learning opportunities are not limited to mourning; this book has taught me about the meaning of family and the importance of loving yourself.Pram’s adventures are both exciting and touching, making A CURIOUS TALE OF THE IN-BETWEEN a gripping story that I could not put down. Even though the events in this book came to a satisfying resolution, there is plenty of room to continue with Pram’s story. If DeStefano writes a sequel, I would love to read more about Pram and her remarkable world.Reviewed by Alyssa L.

She’s struggling like every young person does, trying to find her place in a world that can be very confusing. For Pram this whole experience is heightened because Pram can see spirits. She sees deceased people and even sees deceased bugs. She lives in a home for the aging with her aging aunts and there is not a moment that goes by in her life where Pram is not aware of her uniqueness. In her world, death is very much a reality. From the spirits she sees to the elderly charges in her aunt’s home, she is surrounded by it. Even the “mystery” of her birth is surrounded by death. She lost her mother when she was born and she has a father she has never met. This alone sets her apart from other children. She is homeschooled until her aunts are forced to send her to school where she meets her first real friend, Clarence. Clarence and Pram form an instant bond as they both lost their mothers. Clarence longs to get closure and to say goodbye to his mother and takes Pram along with him to seek answers from spiritualists. Pram takes Clarence along when she decides she needs to meet her father. These fast friends support each other through their darkest times and come to trust each other as truths are revealed and their safety is on the line. This is a book you just can’t put down, whether you are a young child or adult. This is obviously written for younger readers but it’s a wonderful story that will work its way into your heart. These characters are believable and lovable. The storyline is part reality, part magic and that’s what I love about it the most. Magical realism ROCKS! One word of caution for sensitive children: this book touches on suicide and obviously death and the hereafter. I think its fine, but everyone knows their own child best. I’d say this one would be good for ages 11 and up.

She doesn’t have too many friends amongst the living, but that’s all right. She has her books, she has her aunts, and she has her best friend, the ghostly Felix. Then Pram meets Clarence, a boy from school who has also lost a parent and is looking for answers. Together they arrive at the door of the mysterious Lady Savant, who promises to help. But this spiritualist knows the true nature of Pram’s power, and what she has planned is more terrifying than any ghost.Lauren DeStefano is beloved by critics and readers alike, and her middle grade debut is lyrical, evocative and not to be missed. This was the first book I've ever read by Lauren DeStefano and I really quite enjoyed it. It was also the first ever book that I got approved for on Netgalley so that is super exciting! This book is about Pram, an eleven-year-old girl who lives in a really old house with her Aunts Nan and Dee who take care of elderly people there. Her mother died when she was a baby and her father isn't in the picture. Pram is a rather unusual little girl because she can see and speak to ghosts. Her only friend in the world is the ghost of a boy named Felix until she is forced to go to real school (rather than homeschooling) and becomes fast friends with a boy named Clarence. Like Pram, Clarence doesn't have a whole lot of friends. Also like Pram, Clarence's mother passed away. He would really like the chance to say goodbye to her so together they go visit spiritualists trying to connect with her. One of the spiritualists, Lady Savant, can tell right away that Pram is special and takes an unfortunate interest in her. This book was a really nice read. It was kind of dark, but never real scary. It was pretty fast paced, which I liked, and I really enjoyed Lauren's writing. I liked the way the ghosts and the spirit world were approached in this book as well.Pram is a very sweet little girl. She's compassionate, smart, brave, and really tough! Felix is a wonderful friend to Pram and is very protective of her because he knows how special she is. Clarence is a really nice boy. He is very accepting of Pram's eccentricities and believes in her ability to see ghosts. He is a very good friend to her as well and the relationship they have is adorable.I haven't read a whole lot of middle grade books, but this one was very good and I would recommend this book if you like ghost stories!

That Woman, by Aalina Nyx

From the Author This was an emotionally difficult story for me to write, but was one that I felt I needed to release from my soul. Not only for my sake, but for the sake of others who may be living the same reality I was. It sat on my hard drive for months after I had it written waiting for me to be okay enough with the pain to be able to edit and publish it. By no means is it only my story. It is the story of millions worldwide. It may be very difficult to read and understand, as commented on within the story due to the very nature of the story and that yes, my children were just as much a part of this story as I was.A.N

About the Author Aalina Nyx grew up and still resides in her hometown of Calgary, Alberta. Aalina took to writing at a very young age and has written many works of literature that clutter her office and her computer alike. Her newest piece, "That Woman" takes a big leap from other stories she has written in the fact that it is autobiographical in nature and not sheer fantasy. At some point you realize the greatest stories you have to tell are the ones deep inside your soul. "That Woman," is that story for Aalina.

"That Woman" is one of those stories that you won't soon forget. It may be a quick read but it is a very powerful one. There's no graphic details of the domestic violence which is good but you do get to really feel how she felt living with daily abuse and all that goes with it. The story starts out by grabbing you quickly and brings your through her story and her children's. Thankfully she escaped and she speaks directly to the reader that may be living with domestic violence and seeking to escape. Highly recommended read.

Art professor Lydia Drexel has lost her muse. For the first time, she is hopelessly staring at a blank canvas; she’s blocked. When she relates her anxiety to colleague and confidant, Dr. Charles Harris, his answer is “the perfect getaway.” A stack of books, a case of wine, and a few weeks at his cousin’s cabin in the mountains should free her mind. Settling into the picturesque retreat, Lydia intends to focus on her art, along with any issues that might be inhibiting her ability to create. Before she starts to sketch, she meets two young artists who live nearby. Early in their friendship, she senses an abnormal tension between the brother and sister. Lydia soon learns Jan and Bryce Johnson’s adoptive parents died in a car crash, but ample support from an insurance policy and moral support from the community allow them to remain independent. At the Farmers Market, Lydia is drawn to the intricate puzzle boxes Bryce carves. Inside one, she finds a slip of paper with strange symbols on it. As the siblings’ behavior becomes more and more mysterious, the marks turn up in other places. Vowing to decipher them, Lydia surrenders to a lifelong tendency to focus on anything but her own problems. While hiking one day, she meets another resident of the mountain town, architect and contractor John Crawford, who is recently widowed. Lydia has never been married and is unsure about sharing her life with someone, but their connection is undeniable. As Lydia comes closer to discovering the truth behind the cryptic emblems, dark secrets are revealed and lives are in jeopardy. Her respite is far from the quiet withdrawal she had envisioned, but what she learns about herself and her art is life-changing

The pages are thick and glossy and the illustrations are sweet but for a sticker book it's lacking stickers. The concept is nice with an illustration missing on every page or every other page that requires a sticker to complete it but that only works out to about 12 bigger stickers to place. There are about 18 small stickers of flowers and stars that would be very hard to place for a toddler because of their size. Altogether there are only the two pages of stickers as you can see in the photos I took. I was expecting a lot more stickers like other sticker activity books I have ordered. I was hesitant to order without the pages to preview and I wouldn't have if I had seen how few stickers there were.

The stickers are reusable, but you definitely have to be gentle with them so they don't tear. My 2 year old handled them with ease and loved matching the sticker up to the correct spot.

Review

"If I had to choose a single book to share with a faculty member about how to design and teach an online or blended course, or with an instructional designer partnering with that faculty member, that book would be Essentials of Online Course Design: A Standards-Based Guide, Second Edition. In this concise, clear, and well-written volume, Marjorie Vai and Kristen Sosulski provide a methodology for online and blended course design that is informed by learning theory and seasoned by practical experience. This is the standard reference guide that those of us involved in online and blended learning will be keeping close at hand."

The pressure is on. Throughout the country, educators and administrators are working hard to make sure students pass standardized tests and graduate. At the same time, teachers are overwhelmed by ever-increasing demands. Efforts at reforming schools often replicate the same approaches and net the same discouraging results. Staff at many schools feel defensive and powerless as a result of being unable to meet standards they didn’t set and don’t know how to achieve. This book describes a humanistic approach to implementing programs and systems that bring academic press, social support, and relational trust together in unique ways. Based on the understanding that old beliefs are changed by supporting new behaviors, the approach includes acquiring and using data in innovative and intentional ways. Properly conducted, the approach results in high morale, a sense of inclusiveness and success, increased efficacy, and improved metrics in all areas of education. The book includes the research and theory behind the approach, action steps for leaders, and lessons learned in the process—useful elements of success for any school.

Review It is so refreshing to read a book about school reform from the point of view of the people who actually did the work. This book is proof that with dedicated, tenacious, and student-centered educators—anything can happen! (Becky Berg, Superintendent, Marysville School District, Past President ASCD)In this timely book, the authors share important lessons of a lived experience in school leadership in which a low-performing school was genuinely transformed into the opposite. And this account comes not from an inner-city in a large school system, but from a mid-size district that could exist anywhere in the nation. This well-written book is a must-read for every educator who embraces a commitment to success for all. (Michael Dunn, EdD, Superintendent, North East Washington Educational Service District 101)In the current context of school systems, people often feel not only unloved, but also powerless. This book shows that person-to-person relationships can restore the balance in leadership-impoverished school systems, turning them into organizations where people listen, embody greater vitality, and act with love and courage. (Shann Ray Ferch, author Forgiveness and Power in the Age of Atrocity: Servant Leadership as a Way of Life; National Endowment for the Arts Literature Fellow; professor of Leadership Studies, Gonzaga University)The work of Dr. Salina in high-poverty, high-minority, underachieving schools affirms that poverty is not a sickness, diversity is not a challenge to overcome, and hope is not a strategy for change. Powerless to Powerful combines the theory, the evidence-based research, and the proven practical application to truly transform your school and district. (Trevor Greene, National Association of Secondary School Principals' 2013 National High School Principal of the Year)

About the Author Charles Salina, PhD, was the turnaround principal at Sunnyside High School in Sunnyside, WA. Great for any manager, leader, or school to transform the culture of their workplace By Elizabeth Wiederspohn I looked at the piece of paper in front of me. It couldn't be. We were doing everything the education experts said we needed to do to succeed and according to the sheet of paper in front of me, none of it had worked. As a teacher at Sunnyside High School, I was discouraged and tired. That is when Dr. Salina stepped in. We had missed a piece of the puzzle and it was a big one. His model of leadership and his process to empower staff and students really did work and has continued to work after Dr. Salina left Sunnyside High School. Sunnyside High School changed from a place no one wanted to work in to a place no one wants to leave. I would encourage any manager, leader or school to read Dr. Salina's book and change the culture of their workplace.

Phenomenal By Miguel Puente This book and its vivid, inspiring, and useful language of change and leadership should be a desktop manual for any inspiring leader inside or outside education. The concepts highlight the foundational bedrock for building and sustaining change at a meaningful level.

“Little Cub!” Mama called. “Time for bed.”   Little Cub is having so much fun building an igloo with her friends that she doesn’t want to stop for bedtime! Who needs sleep when there’s fun to be had? Mama patiently answers her child’s questions as she puts her to bed, explaining the importance of daily rhythms of work, play, and rest. As they talk through the fears that come with nighttime—and work through Little Cub’s endless stalling tactics—our favorite bear learns to realize that God gave us sleep as a vital gift.    “God gave us rest so we have energy for our day, and patience to enjoy it. And so we have quiet time to listen to him.”   This charming addition to the best-selling God Gave Us series, with its Arctic characters and relevant message, will help all little ones prepare for a peaceful night’s rest.

As a mom of three I can't tell you how many times I have been asked questions about bedtime. Questions such as:"Why do we have to go to bed?""Why do we need sleep?""What happens while we sleep? Will we miss out on anything?"and so forth...This book explains about bedtime, and why God gave us sleep. It is adorable, and my three children loved it. It also seemed to tremendously help them settle into bed and drift off to sleep easier. We have even incorporated this book into our bedtime story routine on a regular basis. We read this at least twice every week. They know how it feels not to get a good nights rest just like Little Cub does in the story, and then they more fully appreciate a good night's rest. It also shows that sleep can be a fun thing for our imaginations!I love that Mama Bear is very patient in answered all of Little Cub's questions in this story. And all of the questions Little Cub asks are questions that pops up in every child's mind at some point. So for it to be laid out in a book like this with answers is just wonderfully done. The illustrations are wonderfully done, and everything is worded so your children will understand. After reading this book my children understood more fully that God gave us sleep because we need it. It is a gift to us to be more well rested, and rejuvenated for another day. Often times when my kids are tired now they will even say they are ready for bed!I love the God Gave Us... series of books. We have several of them, and I can't wait to read more to my children in the future.Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book as a Blogging for Books member in exchange for my unbiased review. I like that "Little Cub" is a girl.

Cute Story By Thrift Schooling Sunday, November 22, 2015God Gave Us Sleep {Book Review}God Gave Us Sleep, by Lisa Tawn Bergren is a part of a sweet series featuring Little Cub, an adorable polar bear! This new book in the series, God Gave Us Sleep, is an excellent story written to help children who struggle with their daily bedtime routine. Normally, I'm not a fan of books where children ask their parents for a drink or a story right before bed and the parents give in. It tends to give my kids bad ideas that they wouldn't have thought of already. But, we are pretty strict when it comes to bedtime and don't allow any funny business so even if they did give it a try, it wouldn't last long in our house!Other issues though that were addressed, that I appreciated, were waking up cranky and nightmares. Scripture was included to help Little Cub not be afraid that he was going to have nightmares and Mama Bear encouraged him that the Lord wants him to have sweet dreams. Nightmares aren't usually an issue with my kids but they can be on occasion, so this book could be helpful in that area. Now, one issue that IS a problem in our house with one child in particular, is waking up cranky! It happens, obviously, when he hasn't had a good night's sleep. This book addresses that as well which I know could help my child because they will now (hopefully) realize that they are not the only one who struggles with waking up cranky due to a lack of sleep. This is an adorable book with beautiful images and has characters that my children are already familiar with. It is written in a fun and engaging way that is sure to become a part of your daily routine if bedtime is a struggle in your home!Disclaimer: Thanks to the Blogging For Books Programfor providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for this review.

I'm usually really cynical when rating stuff, but when it comes to Crafty Nichole I give five stars every time. I noticed that she only has one "Awesome Reviewer" so I'm going to try to review as many books as I can. This one was particularly good in the sense of not being what you would expect. I imagined that Bun-Bun (I couldn't stop laughing over that name) was a mean and vicious Killer Bunny who would stop at nothing to eat all the villagers' animals and I really didn't see the zombie trick coming! Please make more books like this!

By Jiafeng Liu this book is so awesome!!! i just think bun-bun will be so adorable. i like your books a lot just please make a angry alex book10. this book is soooooooo interesting! maybe he figures out that the witch in book2 has a bunny, not a killer one but a plain one she is trying to put a powerful potion on. maybe not the best idea. then steve and alex tries to save it? it may not be the best idea but it might workp.s this is my moms acount.p.p.s i hope you will think about this idea
