Written with great psychological understanding By tessa eskin Waiting for Kate accomplishes something most novels struggle to achieve: emotional honesty. The small country town setting is simply the jumping point from which it explores life in early 60's South Africa, the Australian underground of the 1980s and the cultural complexity of modern Israel. It is essentially a story about what makes us the people we are and how our experiences shape the decisions we make through life. Written with great psychological understanding, brutal honesty, folk wisdom and warmth. Highly recommend to anyone who has struggled with separation or great change in their life.

I felt like I was reading the innermost thoughts of my best friend. Honest, funny and sad it left me wanting more from Kate DeWinter and from myself. Very kid friendly and will have your kiddos asking many questions. This little girl is very special and represents the first case in medical history that directly links biliary atresia to a causative agent. Kudos to her parents for sharing her story to raise awareness and help other family who may be embarking on a transplant journey. Very cool book!!

The character's verbal communication was occasionally clumsy or unrealistic. If this was a series, there was no clear indication of where each book ended and new one started.

He knows what he is going to do and O is it ever so special. I think other children would love to do this for there Grandparent . So touching a story of a little boy so devoted to his grandpa. Illustrations were beautiful. The story is very entertaining kids will love. This book is a 5 star book, can't wait to read it to my grandkids.

I've been following him on his blog (http://principaljohn.com/) and found his writings to be sweet little nuggets -- filled with boundless joy, sad truths, quiet compassion or thoughtful wisdom -- all in bite sized pieces. More importantly, each note is authentic and heartfelt.As a book, I am able to share his writings with my friends - some educators and others not. Don't be fooled that this book is only for people in education. It reminds us that children are our future leaders. When they are given encouragement and the space to grow, the world will be in fine hands. A much needed reminder for all of us.And I have to mention that I am totally ticked by the illustrations sprinkled within the book. If only I could be as cute as the illustrations!

Ants wouldn’t escape his view; nothing small, beautiful and wonderful did. He showed us what we would have missed. And this is what Greg does each time he writes: wisdom gleaned from the kickball diamond; miracles caused by cupcakes; the warmth of light through school room blinds; how chalk marks on a blacktop reveal secrets and then wash them away after a rain; that your heart can be opened day after day when you stand in a playground watching and listening.May this collection help us find our way to helping others see the meaningful details of each and every day, in spite of the distractions of living in a very noisy world.

Hair Trigger Heart (Devils Ranch Book 3), by Aubrey Gross

About the Author Aubrey has been reading and writing since she was about two and a half and has been an avid romance reader since she read her first romance novel in the 6th grade. She wrote her first novel in high school. It was an imaginative historical romance that involved a cross-country trip via covered wagon, and maybe some Indians. She thinks it’s still on a floppy disk somewhere (DOS computer, y’all), but can’t be too sure. These days, she writes contemporary romance with a lot of humor and sass and characters that have issues. She graduated from Seton Hill University's Writing Popular Fiction program with a Master of Arts in 2008. When she's not writing, she can be found with her husband and their two dogs at home in Austin, on their ranch in west Texas, watching a football or baseball game, or with her nose stuck in a (usually virtual) book.

That being said, I'm a little upset that the next book isn't out yet so I have to wait even longer to know if Chase gets a kidney and Jenn's pregnancy goes ok. Finish the next one Mrs. Gross! :)
