To Love And Be Loved By Mary Clark Again, another absolutely wonderful story from the author, which I thoroughly enjoyed reading; there was so much to keep the reader interested. Growing up, Francesco’s mother and father rarely had time for her; she had everything, except attention. Adam is the first to show Francesco any kind of love and she is besotted with him; she likes giving herself to him and he likes taking, although she wonders if it is enough. Rick is engaged to Caroline, but his job is interfering with their relationship. Francesco’s father receives a death threat, so Rick is assigned to protect Francesco 24/7. It is during this time that Adam becomes more possessive with Francesco, introducing her to his darker side. When the death threat is mitigated, Rick still wants to protect Francesco – realising he has feelings for her. Accompanying the couple to a Club, Adam publicly embarrasses Francesco and goes too far. Francesco is distraught when Rick gives her damaging background information on Adam; she cannot stay with him, but will she regret her decision. Later Francesco discovers that her father’s indiscretion is the reason for the death threat when a man pulls a gun on her at her apartment, but yet again Rick is there to intervene. Rick tells Francesco about his break-up with Catherine, which was a mutual decision. Francesco knows that without Catherine’s willingness to let Rick go she might never have experienced what it felt like to be loved so deeply. I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending this book, it was a pleasure to read. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I felt so bad for her because I felt he was using and manipulating her. She was so needy. But her strength came when she needed it. Rick was in a relationship he couldn't feel anything for Francesca, he was just supposed to guard her, right? This book sucks you in, so have some Kleenex handy. Sometimes I was so mad I could yell. But take the journey, then smile at the end of the ride.

From the editing, to the cover design, to the way the storyline flowed, it was well worth the read. Next, on to Vince... I'm sure the first thing everyone want's to do is condemn him for his behavior. What I took from the story is his situation hits close to home for alot of folks. The rollarcoaster of emotions and events portrayed throughout the book allow readers to get a glimpse of the "other" side. The side of the oppressor that in some light could also be seen as the victim. Not of a crime but of the heart. You get a front row seat of how someone could be caught up in love, while at the same time hurting the one's they love. And though the answer may seen simple at first, after reading this story you may have second thoughts. I recommend this book to anyone who's ever whished for love and found it in more ways than one! Great job Marlon! For the price you can't beat this read!

I can honestly say I never thought he should've entertained Mykael. Her clinginess and constant questions made me feel as if he should stay clear of her. Ksenia was different but for the most part she seemed like the better choice. I liked Traci because she always had her best friends back. Vincent realized he was missing something in his life but went about things all wrong. Alejandra and Jeenevah both were scandalous and straight trifling. I guess that's what he got for not going about things the right way. The back and forth, as well as the lies should've been enough for Vincent to make a decision. Monica was beyond thirsty and I was glad someone put her in her place. It was only a matter of time before things hit the fan. Wow Mykael tried it at the end and I'm glad Vincent had his people look into things. Based on the ending Vincent may finally be ready to get some act right.

I can't believe the lengths he went through to find a mate, then when he found two amazing ladies he became a selfish lover. Seeing both of them at once not realizing who he truly love.Makael, is a nice woman and in fact Vince personal assistant yet when she let out her true feelings for him, one thing led to another, and Vince ended up confused as ever.Ksenia, she's okay another she had the finer things in life, and did things for Vince that left him star struck yet when it comes to matters of the heart Vince didn't know what to do because he's in love with two women. It was intriguing how everyone met up, but heartbreaking how everything played out. I'm not to fond of Vince decision but I'm glad he finally realized who captured his heart.

Here is the first book written specifically for men who date while answering to a higher authority: their children. As a single father, you’re ready to begin dating again. But are your kids ready? In this much-needed guide, relationship expert Ellie Slott Fisher comes to the rescue with no-nonsense, no-judgments advice on everything from how to ask a woman out to navigating the potential minefield of overnight dates. Single dads are as nervous as single moms about merging their parental responsibilities with their social lives, but they often don’t have intimate friendships in which to share their concerns. Drawing on her own experience as a single parent, interviews and surveys she conducted with more than a hundred single fathers and their children, and the advice of family therapist Dr. Paul Halpern, Fisher gives the lowdown on a range of tricky topics, including:•When do I introduce my kids to the woman I’m dating?•What if they don’t like her?•Is it acceptable to date someone closer to my child’s age than my own? •Are sleepovers okay when my kids—or her kids—are home?•How do I give my children the reassurance they need while pursuing a social life of my own? Plus, how to avoid one of the biggest dating pitfalls: mistaking lust for love. From dealing with your ex-spouse to protecting your children’s inheritance, and many issues in-between, Fisher gives single fathers the tools they need to be both sexy suitors and devoted dads. From the Trade Paperback edition.

Dating for Dads: The Single Father's Guide to Dating Well Without Parenting Poorly, by Ellie Slott Fisher, Paul D. Halpern

From Publishers Weekly Raising children can make it difficult for single fathers to get back into the dating scene. With sympathy and good sense, journalist Fisher (Mom, There's a Man in the Kitchen and He's Wearing Your Robe) and psychologist Halpern remind men that children are impressionable and easily confused, so proper etiquette is vital. The authors explain how to balance time between kids and a love interest, when to introduce them and how to handle the fallout if things don't go well. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Not a helpful book By Jason S Though there are a few helpful tidbits in here, part of the problem is that it reads like a wish-list for women, and uses many cognitive traps (such as many "should" statements) which elicit guilt and shame in a man, which is simply not helpful. I think a book written by a confident, assertive man would be more helpful - one that focuses on finding a woman that actually wants to be a partner with her boyfriend in parenting his kids versus one that just trying to get over her sense of entitlement of being the center of attention would be far more instructive. Women who want to be the center of man's attention can seem very charming initially but ultimately will cause misery for a man in his relationship with her if he tries to "please the un-pleaseable". A book that focused more on how a man can balance giving all of the proper attention to his kids while still giving proper attention to his girlfriend would be more helpful - but the girlfriend has to understand that the kids come first, and that she can either be a partner with her boyfriend in parenting his kids or she can be upset about not getting 100% of his attention, which is unrealistic and not practical.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Author was lazy and didn't do any research By Gregory When I first saw this book online, I was excited that there was finally a book for men about how to balance dating and raising kids. Now, I will admit that my situation is somewhat unusual as a single gay dad, but I found this book to have little useful information. Almost everything in it was quite obvious. Moreover, the book was not well researched. The author kept quoting this one (psychologist?) over and over. It almost felt like she had a cultist reverence for this one "expert." I would have prefered if the author did more research and quoted a variety of sources. Unfortunately, due to this book's lack of research, I was left with many unanswered questions. On the plus side, this book did make me appreciate how difficult it is to date and find someone once you have kids. I guess if you find someone good, you should do what you can to keep them!

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Charming and instructive! By jane ganahl Ellie Slott Fisher has written a guide for single dads - something we've needed for a long time! - and managed to make it humane, funny, whip-smart and totally useful. A great new addition to the dating genre. Brava Ellie!

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. These were all fantastic. I loved that the stories were connected By Jeanette Dummer The Mariposa HotelI’m a huge fan of anthologies. I always tell myself I’m only going to read one of the stories. Then I read them all at once. Oops. These were all fantastic. I loved that the stories were connected, yet separate. Sometimes it bothers me when they intertwine too much but this was a great balance.GHOST OF 913This story was absolutely darling. So many of these stories are quick and you worry about the future a bit, but this one was a slow burn and I liked it. The characters were very believable. I understood the decisions. Sweet, sweet characters.BUTTERFLY KISSESSometimes the stories with a lot of assumptions and accusations turn out well, and I guess this one did too but it was my least favorite of the 3. I actually liked the main guy, but the girl kind of irked me. I felt like she was a bit of a contradiction. She claimed to be level headed but all I saw her do was make emotional decisions. Ah well. The story was worth reading, but not my favorite.DREAMS COME TRUEThis one was my favorite. I will be honest, I roll my eyes every time I start a story about the rich and famous boy who falls for the normal, yet gorgeous, girl. But this one had quite a bit of depth and the famous thing really wasn’t a conversation topic after we got to know the characters a bit more. They were honest and open and I loved it.

The three stories in this book, are fun and sweet. As with all novella's I wish the stories were longer!! One of the interesting things about this book is how each story has characters who assume things about each other and the only thing to straighten it out is a face to face chat. The Mariposa is a hotel that sits on the beach which makes for some fun scenes. It also has a magic wishing well that grants wishes immediately. In the first story Ghost of 913, one of the maids working at the Mariposa finds a room seeming to be occupied by a ghost. I like how the two characters start to interact with each other without having even met. I like how Mari is determined and has things she wants to do and is a strong girl who has seen some of life and has brought herself to a good place. The second story Butterfly Kisses Ridley is a Plastic Surgeon who has a huge heart and works in Beverly Hills in order to do humanitarian aid in a 3rd world country. She meets someone who on the surface isn't who he really is. They work through some misconceptions and come to a friendly understanding. Again the young woman is a strong person who is happy with who she is.The third story Dreams Come True deals with parental abuse and abandonment. Reagan is the events coordinator at the Mariposa and also a strong character. She meets a film producer who she assumes is a jerk but finds out how wrong she is. The story touches on parental abuse and neglect. But it is also sweet and fun.It was a fun quick clean read!! Great job ladies I can't wait to read the next one.

It was all very well written with great characters that were so fun to follow. I actually read this all in one day as I couldn't put it down. It had humor, clean romance and all in a great and beautiful location. I enjoyed all 3 writers in this 3 part novel. I just wish I could go visit the old wishing well and toss in a coin!

She’s so stuck up. She obviously has something to prove. Her personality is so not my type. But all I want to do is put my hands all over that curvy ass of hers. Jensen I don’t do love. So why am I hung up on my lawyer, of all women? While she was waxing poetic as an eager law student, I was putting my life on the line to save my brothers in arms; risking it all jumping out of airplanes on my Special Ops missions to rescue American heroes cut off behind enemy lines. Thanks to a bullshit assault and battery charge, I left the highly elite USAF OPSEC division. Now what I do is train new recruits to rescue servicemen when they're injured. I also do one night stands. But I don’t do commitment. So why am I so into this attorney who thinks she’s too good to represent me? * * * He’s dangerous. A criminal. He has tattoos. And he’s not even my type. But those muscles. That chest. Are his good looks the only reason I can’t get him out of my head? Riley I have it made. I’m an up and coming, successful lawyer at a large firm, and I’m engaged to the son of the founding partner. Sure, our relationship is more about politics than love, but what else does a woman need in this day and age? At least that’s what I used to think. Until I met him. Jensen. I was supposed to save his career, save him. That was before shit hit the fan and I was told to take a "leave of absence" to "get my priorities straight"—all because I refused to be shady just to win the case. Now I’m starting to think Jensen was sent to save my career. But as my job and my relationship start to unravel, the last thing I need is a distraction… ** Jensen is the first novel in the Bradford Brothers series. It’s a standalone novel with a guaranteed Happy Ever After and contains no cheating and no cliffhangers. You won’t miss a beat of any one Bradford Brothers book if you haven’t read the others, and they can be read in any order but they’re best enjoyed all together!

Though I really liked the story, I didn't like the way it was written.I loved the story from the very beginning. I really wanted to see which direction the Riley would take regardless of whether she got involved with Jensen or not. I think, there were several areas that gave us detailed ideas of what PTSD involves and how the psychiatric society sees it along with the legal system. It was great to see not only the attorney overcome her old life and stand up to her family. And, it was an adventure seeing how Jensen would overcome the difficulties he had in his life. PTSD has a terrible stigma attached to it, and we see how difficult it is for servicemen and women find it to ask for help because of that stigma. In that sense, the story was a real eye opener. However, I found the writing style to be rather juvenile and contrived. First of all, there was nothing subtle about it. I understand sexual attraction, but it thought, the writing was just too blatant. I don't mind sex in books and have a few erotica authors whose books I truly enjoy. I didn't find the sexual thought process believable. One of my pet peeves is when a male character sounds too feminine. I could tell, through the entire writing, that this book was written by a woman. Jensen didn't sound as male and tough as he needed to sound. It was really rather heartbreaking, because the story behind the characters had a wonderful premise.I see a lot of potential in this writer. She has some great ideas. I just think, this needed more work.

Riley was engaged to someone else when she first ste eyes on Jensen. She was on her way to make partnership in her law firm. Her well laid out plan for life started crumbling.Jensen has a temper and image of a bad boy. He is in legal trouble for beating up a guy that was hitting his mother. He was in lock up when he first seen her. After firing his lawyer he was not happy with being paired up with Riley. As they worked on his case they couldn't fight the attraction. Read this good book to find out what happened between them and his case. It is hot hot hot!!

By XJerseyGirl I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. I really wanted to like this book because the storyline had great potential and the first chapter drew me in. Riley, our heroine, is a self-proclaimed legal go-getter on the fast track to becoming a partner at a major law firm. Looking for pro bono work to help nail that partnership, she comes across as snobby and superior when when she sees the jailed military veterans with whom she'd be working. This could have been a very interesting story but it hits on every cliche in the romance genre. Instant lust between hero and heroine. Then we find out she has an overbearing family, complete with snotty younger sister. AND an overbearing boss and a dweeb fiance who just happens to be the boss's son. They all browbeat her and she stands up to no one.Jensen isn't much better. He's in lust as well. It only gets interesting when he talks with his lawyer about not using a PTSD defense to his asault and battery trial. My favorite part is where the assistant DA describes Jensen's crime. "He mercifully pummeled an innocent man." Mercifully? I don't think I was supposed to laugh out loud, but I did. The first half of the story does no favors for anyone with PTSD as Jensen states long, loud and often that he doesn't want to be labeled as "crazy". Jensen throws temper tantrums and stomps off the job as a civilian contractor instructing military in para-rescue ops, leaving his men out in the field. As another reviewer stated, It's apparent that the story was written by a female. Jensen doesn't come across as the hot, macho guy he's supposed to be.The storytelling comes across as juvenile and made me wonder about the age and experience of the writer. If you aren't familiar with the topic you're wiriting about, don't try to fake it. Do a little research to give the story the ring of truth. Show, don't just tell. Almost the entire story is told through their thoughts ... pages and pages of thinking. Sadly, what could have been a great story came across as flat and unexciting.
