The three-day method can work with children that are as young as fifteen months old. The three-day process is also most successful on kids younger than twenty-eight months and usually the closer to three a child gets the less likely the method is to work (again see the section on readiness signs for children).

And for all parents who are stepping up to start training their kid for potty need to remember that there is no magic that could train a child for something in just 3 days. This book too, outlines some basic stuff you need to do (some are purely common sense), but then it will just give the child a feel of what is being expected of them. For children, the repetition plays an important role for them to understand, so putting them to potty again and again is the only underlying fact. So, don't be mislead or falsely assume from the title that your child will be trained in 3 days.

The method was not backed up by any research that was cited or professional advice from a physician. I read the entire book in 5 minutes and it could be summed up in two to three sentences.
