About the Author Shantiom Mumtaz Mahal was born and live in Sweden. As she was the only child and her parents had several supermarkets she automatically started to work in her parents stores at a very young age and has continued it ever since. But on the side she has educated herself and was quite active in the politics in her local and regional area and even at a young age she could see results of her actions in the society. Major things like free media and free choice of school for children were accepted by the parliament and government. All her life she has been surrounded by animals, at first dogs and cats and when she had her own home and family all the extra animals where added like rabbits, horses, a parrot, fish, more cats and more dogs, which has really been an education in itself. It has also been a fantastic experience for her to be a part of her family and experience the children’s growth and her own, where karate has been an important common hobby for the whole family. Ballet and instruments have also played an important role in their lives. From her early childhood her mother and grand- mother have shared their great knowledge and love for gardening with her which she also has used a lot during her life. Later on she has been educated in Polarity Therapy, Iridology, and Esoteric Science. For many years Shantiom has been following the teachings of a perfect living Soul-Master which has greatly enriched her life. In 2005 she started attending seminars with Bob Proctor, since then she has been educated as a LifeSuccess Consultant and attended several seminars and Matrixxs’s. And she continues to study his teachings and now she is ready for the book business and sharing her knowledge with other people.

Shantiom takes you through a practical, refreshing process that gives you the power to take giant leaps in the pursuit of a more fulfilling connection with your ideal mate, or your soul mate to be. Her guidance really opens your eyes to seeing where you are now, and understanding how easy it can be to make adjustments that enable you to receive all the love you desire. I highly recommend this book.

They are really great stories, very well written and engaging characters.Lisa Greenwald knows how to keep you interested throughout the whole book. If you are an adult looking for something to read with your middle grade child - I would highly recommend this one. It will be relatable to your middle grade child and it will keep your attention too.The characters are relatable, with flaws. You will be comfortable letting your middle grade child read about the actions and language these characters display. The situations were age appropriate and the parents were a part of the story.I hope there will be more to the Pink & Green series.More reviews at Ope's Opinions.com

Pink and Green is the New Dishwasher Grey By carb101 I read the previous two books out loud to my daughter, so we were both curious to learn what Lucy was up to. What a disappointment! The previous two books had primary story arcs with additional story lines and exploration of girl feelings. This book had basically no story arc and was FULL of girl feelings - page after page of them. While I think the emotional boyfriend-girlfriends feelings were spot on for slightly older girls (and I feel like an authority here as my daughters are in 7th and 9th grade therefore bracketing Lucy's 8th grade), a book of nothing but Lucy's fluctuating emotions and not much else was a sad tale. She barely even went to Pink and Green and the only thing she did with the Eco Club was make an important presentation at the very beginning of the book and later not follow through on her composting idea. This series that has lost its way.

I really loved the first two, but this one kinda gives the impression that the author didn't have anything else to write about. This book is still okay. Though,sadly, it's not really the best.... I did like the others in the series and if you read them then you probably should finish it up. But if you liked the first two, I'd definitely recommend Wendy Mass's books, especially the Willow Falls series and the Twice Upon a Time, because those are great!

About the Author

Gayle Allen, EdD, MBA, is a lifelong educator who has worked as a teacher, coach, and administrator in K-12 schools, as well as an adjunct professor at Teachers College, Columbia University. The founder of two professional learning institutes whose missions are to promote teacher growth and leadership, she is a passionate supporter of providing opportunities for teachers and school leaders to reflect on and grow their practice. Gayle serves as the founding director of BrightBytes Labs, a research organization that studies the factors that influence effective teaching and learning.

By Amazon Customer We are all looking for autonomy, mastery and purpose in what we do, it is no less with students. In Gayle Allen's work, "The New Pillars of Modern Teaching", the shift to the student and teacher as a "learning worker" is defined. Learning, according to Allen, is now about the design, curation and feedback. The book not only defines these three pillars, but gives a clear implementation including example web sites. The last chapter also clarifies the need to have students learn to fail faster. Failure is critical to learning so good students will need to fail quickly to learn and then move on. The teacher's role shifts to supporting this process.One weakness is the lack of understanding of the Quality movement in this process. Allen needs to reflect on expanding her understanding of feedback. Not only do you need to have a feedback loop so you can improve on a specific task, but you need a Quality Improvement process, not just feedback. The student needs to know what to improve, but they need to better understand why they came to that thought in the first place so they can truly change their thinking. Just getting feedback will not make you more efficient. To fail faster the student will need to reflect on how they came to that point in the first place, then modify their future learning.Over all it is a short, but excellent reflection on where things are heading.John Sonnenbergjohn.sonnen@aol.com

This is the 5th book in the Nugget series and I will miss the town and its charming inhabitants when the series ends. This time around, I particularly liked the fact that there was a Latino hero.

She goes from a selfish, manipulative teenager to an even more selfish, manipulative woman. That was easy to see on page one. I think I would have been fighting mad if Lucky had unluckily not wised up. Yeah, this book produced some strong feeling concerning the characters from me.Getting Lucky by Stacy Finz is the best of the Nugget series. I would highly recommend it to readers new to the series. Why? It has a wonderful man even if he is misguided in his love life. It has an adorable sick little girl with a wonderful hard working single mother. It has a romance that is worthy of the couple, a community that cares, and plenty of intrigue with drug dealers who need to get taken down.The plot is structured so that you are completely drawn into the story wanting to shake some sense into some and smack the daylight out of others! Just the read for a day that you need to lose yourself for a while. It’s a do not miss Nugget classic.Copy provided by the publisher through Net Galley for an honest review.

I love how Ms. Finz spices up a sweet story about family, hope and love by throwing in some mystery and suspense. I really enjoyed this story and I especially loved Tawny.Tawny Wade is in need of some good luck in her life. Her daughter has leukemia and is in need of a transplant that she can't provide. She's down to her last option - contacting her daughter's father and hoping that he would be a match and donate the bone marrow that she needs. But first she has to tell him ten years after their one night stand that he has a nine-year old daughter that she had kept from him. Tawny loved Lucky Rodriguez back in high school and kept the identity of her baby's father secret to protect Lucky back then, but Lucky only had eyes for Raylene, the daughter of the richest man in town.Lucky Rodriguez's successful career as a bull rider has earned him celebrity status in his hometown of Nugget, California but it wasn't always so. Ten years ago, Lucky narrowly escaped a false rape accusation when he left town suddenly and joined the rodeo. Now he's back and in for the shock his life when he discovers he has a daughter he never knew about and that he's her last hope for a much needed transplant.Lucky was a real stand-up guy, attractive, sweet, nice and honorable and a doting father to his daughter, but even nice guys have some weaknesses and Lucky's was Raylene. Lucky has loved her forever and was happy to rekindle his relationship with her but he seemed blind to her faults. It was really annoying that it took him almost getting into trouble AGAIN because of her to see how selfish and vindictive she really was. I love Tawny because she rolled with the hard knocks from life and turned them into positives. Her daughter was her number one priority and she was willing to share her with Lucky but she was smart enough to know that falling for Lucky again was a sure way to heartache.There was so much going on for everyone in this book. Lucky had to deal with a sick daughter, a demanding girlfriend, suspected criminal activity on his ranch including being named as a murder suspect. For Tawny, coming clean opened her up to new friendships and she learned to let people in and share her burdens. I love how the town stood by them and stepped up to support them through everything. This story is sure to make you love small towns and the close relationships and caring they offer and I definitely recommend it. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
