From the Author I decided to write this book as I heard common thinking and emotional responses from clients regarding their hurt and victimization that was keeping bound to relationship patterns that kept them in the hurtful relationships . My purpose in writing this book is to provide a road map to identify, heal and repair hurt.I am excited to address the bullying issues found in schools and a way to manage this growing challenge My experiences with bullies as a child helped in my identification of steps to address this challenge. Terrific practical guide to moral wisdom By Dr Andrew Knock Jay Krunszyinsky has written a passionate book on practical morality, in which he maps out a system to help develop core personal virtues by making acts of atonement whenever we fail other people. He is not concerned to argue the merits of his system against other forms of morality, but aims to convince by the clarity of his system and the wealth of illustrations he provides for different stages of personal development.Jay Krunszyinsky's core approach to moral issues is broadly that described as 'virtue ethics,' that is, consideration of the chief virtues which contribute to a fulfilled and purposed life. He has clearly brought great insight to helping children and adults face profound scarring and damage, and find ways of healing. In the early part of the book he develops a thorough system for schools to use in order to "define behavioral expectations and allow children to evaluate their successes and problems." Teachers and parents will find this a valuable tool to reflect on, either applying it or measuring their own methods alongside it.Building on this foundation of rationality, Jay introduces what his book's title is about - saying Sorry, "making atonement." For Jay atonement is intensely practical: "Through atonement or problem resolution you can take responsibility for hurtful actions and demonstrate acts of love, respect and honesty." I felt it would be a book easy to connect to because marriage , divorce , kids is such a reality and never easy. I have not been through the struggles Riley has with her marriage BUT drug addiction and abuse have been in my life by way of family members and exes so I have watched it rip through and destroy. I fell for River right from the start , OMG that little boy was special and I was so invested in his growth. Liam was probably my favorite character in the story. Riley was just as I assumed she would be, making dumb choices and although she wanted the right thing she had a hard time pushing through her own walls to get them. The one thing I would have loved , as weird as it may seem , would have been some POV by way of Aaron. You get the story from Riley but to lead up to the major event it would have been nice to have snippets from his mind to alert us to just how intense he was. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time regardless due to his threats and just wondering where and when we would meet up with him. This book had fear , devastation , hope , love , HOTNESS and a very sweet and happy ending. It was a quick read and I enjoyed Liam and River so much !! Riley was plagued with an impossible situation and luckily for her a knight in shining armor rode in by way of River's speech therapist and brought her back to life. Liam not only saved Riley and River but he saved himself by finally finding love again. He was amazing and to boot he plays guitar and sings !! I just cannot say enough about him. LIAM LIAM LIAM LIAMDefinitely worth the read and I am interested to see what else this author has to offer.

I thought for sure this was a book I was going to fall in love with. Unfortunately, it wasn't. Now before you sigh... This isn't a bad book. It actually is a good book, but it wasn't a book that I fell in love with like I had hoped.The story overall is a good one. I just couldn't focus on it. It moved slow for me. Although the writing is good, it just seemed to be missing something for me.I was hoping to need some emotional therapy after reading this. However, being the tough cookie I am, I didn't. I am very saddened over this. This story has emotional wreck written all over it. I just didn't receive it like I hoped. However, many others seem to have. It just may be me.Overall, this is a well written book that I think many will like if not love. Don't necessarily count this book out just because it didn't do it for me. Not every book is for everyone!

She does what a lot of women do and she doubts herself after being a relationship that has damaged her self esteem. She has shut out everyone in an effort to gain control back of her life. That is.. until Liam."He is the steady breath that revives my soul when the unrelenting sea of life attempts to drown me."I think a lot of us can see part of ourselves in Riley Winters. She has hung on too long to a marriage that was slowly sinking her. Depression then grabs hold of her and she goes through a period of self doubt. She slowly works on herself on the inside, in order to move forward with her life that has come to a stand still.This novel held my attention, right through to the end. Did I see some of it coming? Well, yes. BUT. Who cares? It was all about the journey. You slowly see Riley's character emerge from the darkness. Sure, she makes some mistakes... but who doesn't? She learns from them and turns her life around for the better.Liam. He is just the perfect book boyfriend. He has his own 'demons', but when he first lays eyes on Riley.... it's done. I recommend this book to people in all walks of life By Amazon Customer This book is as real as real can get.Kudos to the author for the courage to address such a difficult topic in such an unconventional writing style.Let's face it, abuse happens in both "Christian" and "Non-Christian" homes alike, it does not discriminate.This book is an eye opener and has the potential to awaken the one who has been lulled into a "Non-existent" state through verbal abuse, whether married or contemplating marriage.There is an explicit scene in the book but it happens between a husband and a wife. I wouldn't call that pronographic.The scene enabled me to understand how over time verbal abuse can escalate to physical abuse even within the confines of marriage.This book isn't meant to give advice, it's meant to give hope and it does just that!I recommend this book to people in all walks of life.

Dunn Even though I personally know the author and his family, I would have loved this book if I had not known them. This is a story of farm life in the South during the depression and wars. Though the father of six girls never had much money, he was one of the richest men in Tennessee. He had the richness of the love of his family. This book is for anyone that appreciates hard work and righteous living. Be prepared to deal with your own life's worth as you finish this book.

Engrossing By Lyn Neilans This well-written book is rich in details; American and Tennessee history as well as the family's own story.Don has an almost poetic style, especially when he is describing the beautiful East Tennessee countryside.I enjoyed it a lot!

He has written a chronology of events in the lives of one rural Tennessee family over the decades as though he had been present with a recorder and a camera. There is such richness of detail that it took my breath away. I didn't doubt the authenticity of one conversation or one small incident that took place over the years.What makes this book so amazing is not that it's about an extraordinary family, but that the author has shown us what is so extraordinary in one average family's decency, commitment, hard work, and unconditional love.I highly recommend this book to anyone who can appreciate how family bonds can help us not only overcome trials, but bring us the highest joy.Cheryl Peyton

It comes straight from the love of Christ shining through Cliff & Evona in the battle they waged against cancer. God used their family through this battle. Cliff witnessed to so many people & Evona is still going strong! What an amazing love story to be able to read.

I know the ending is not what we wanted but God is Faithful. This is such an encouragement to see how he and the family choose Faith and God answered them by working in there life in miraculous ways. It is so wonderful to see God working in peoples lives in this way. It gives HOPE that GOD does LOVE us and wants to work in our lives. I am not saying that this road was easy nor one I would wish on anyone but if you are going through a trial this book will provide you a perspective that not to many people can give.
