I have never wanted to blog; therefore, my curiosity was aroused. I found the book to be easy reading, and explains the technical setup of the domain, hosting, wordpress theme easy to follow...even for beginners. I don't know how long the book will be free on kindle, but if you get a chance to get it and you're looking to set up a quick website or a blogsite get this book to guide you how!

It doesn't confuse you with a lot of choices, just offers a few ways that the author used to start her own blog. She has been successful at it, so she offers proven advice. It focuses on using WordPress software, one that 70% of bloggers use. Then straight-to advice on hosting, creating your brand, set up, using themes and plugins. She also offers a few recommendations on programs for further training on topics such as Google Analytics and Marketing Training.You get key advice and steps that are more than worth the price of the book. The author also offers a free report on selecting a domain name that fits your plans and will likely rank well in the blogosphere.

Exquisite Children's book By Craig M Sisterson An outstanding book for children (that adults can also get a lot from), delightfully illustrated, presenting the story of an amazing man, George Moses Horton. With words and pictures Don Tate takes us through the story of George's remarkable life, where his strong spirit and love for language helped him grow from an illiterate slave boy working the fields to an extraordinary and important voice in America's literary and poetic history. This book is everything that children's books should be - easy to read, pleasant to look at, telling a great tale that leaves parent and child both feeling inspired, pleased, and knowing something more about our world. A Remarkable Man By Grateful Grandma Young George was determined to learn how to read, but because he was a slave, this was difficult, in fact it was against the law. He listened to the white children when they practiced their lessons, and then he found an old spelling book and taught himself how to read. As a teenager he sold fruit and vegetables grown on his farm to the students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to make money to live off the plantation. He recited poetry he had composed and soon students were paying him to compose love poems to their girlfriends. Then the wife of a professor, a poet herself, arranged for his poems to be published. George was soon making enough money to pay his master to let him live and write in Chapel Hill, but his master refused to let him purchase his freedom. It wasn’t until 1863 when President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation that George was finally free. He was then 66 years old. This story is told in a lovely fashion with beautiful illustrations. So many books on slavery deal with the brutality of slavery which was a huge part, but for children this book will get a message across in a gentler way. Tate also includes a short list of references for further reading, as well as a moving author's note that provides some additional historical and personal context for Poet.Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

George loved words and language so much that he taught himself to read. He was even able to sell his work which provided him with unusual opportunities. This would be a wonderful book for home educators studying this time period of history or those interested in human rights. The illustrations are fabulous as well!I received a complementary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

By Alison McKellar We've had this book for two days now and we've already read it about 6 times with my almost 3 and 5 year old. I've worked on taking deep breaths with them and tried to introduce the ideas of mindfulness, but there's something about seeing it in a book with a fun title and great illustrations that makes the concepts so much more legitimate to this age group. It's simple and fun but also the kind of book you can read over and over again because the illustrations have lots of details that are fun for the kids to look more carefully at. I'd say the book is great for any age and a good one to keep around the house. I'm glad we own it and don't have to return it to the library. Also, it has a nice little guide in the back that give more information about mindfulness.

I have a couple of "Lemonade Hurricanes" of my own in my house- I was shocked at how much they love this simple and lovely gem of a book. Without any prompting from me, as soon as we finished they wanted to practice their breathing- even the 2 year old! I'll be buying this as a gift for every parent I know!

7 of 7 people found the following review helpful. Grandma Nut is my new hero! By J. Neal Grandma is one hip, groovy Nut who jumps up to take care of her family. Not to get too deep about this fun kids' story, but what a great reflection of our busy homes and a positive reminder to take time out to play together. Eric Litwin's stories always come back to some sweet, positive message like that. He is so good at what he does! There are directions to the "disco line dance" at the end of the book that have produced huge fun for my six year olds. I'm going to have to get a copy for my mom as well as my kids. Grandma Nut is my new hero. Illustrator Scott Magoon did a GREAT job with her. -And adding that squirrel throughout, when it's about a family of Nuts. Cracks me up.

The 2 Nut Family books are as good or even better than the Pete the Cat books! My 1.5 year old daughter can already say the interactive parts, sing the songs, do the moves and predict upcoming words due to Litwin's interactivity in his writing.

Hazel Nut want to sing and dance but everyone is too busy to play with her. In the end her awesome Grandma Nut comes to the rescue and their singing and dancing is so much fun that everyone joins in. The writing and the illustrations in this book are a perfect combination. There is a great song and dance that you can check out online. How many children's books do you know that include a disco line dance? My daughter loves this book and now wants polka dot everything, especially polka dot pants.

I read this book to my two-year old son and he absolutely loved it. He adores dogs, so anything that has to do with a dog, is a plus! The book also surprisingly kept his attention for the majority of the time. This is difficult to do with a very active two year old! lol He also really enjoyed all the cute pictures and vibrant colors in the illustrations.I love the message the book teaches. Sammy is an adorable doggie. He is very cute and likable. The book is cute and funny, while teaching some invaluable life lessons. We learn that even some slight miscommunication can bring some problems. It stresses the importance of listening and making sure you fully understand what is being said before repeating it. (Also an important message for adults!!! Lol.) It also teaches children that playing a pranks are not always funny. They may not work out the way they're planned and can even hurt others. (Again, another important lesson for adults as well!)I absolutely adore Mrs. Cuthbert! She takes stray or abused dogs in and loves them until they find a home. It teaches children they should care for animals and not be cruel to them.This is a very cute book. It has a nice storyline with great characters. It’s not too long and has lots of great illustrations.Although I received Sammy The Sheep Dog for Kindle absolutely free to provide an unbiased honest review, this doesn't affect my five star rating for it. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Such a cute read! By Mark and Amanda Harris This book is adorable. It's perfect for young readers, or for parents to read aloud to younger ones. It tells the story of Sammy, who is getting worried because all of his friends are going to new homes, and he's still waiting for his... well anyway older dog told him it was because he's a special dog, called a ship dog. This excitement eventually turned into worry... Sammy ended up running away for the night, luckily he met another type of Sheep dog that explains he's not a SHIP dog, he's a sheep dog. He tells Sammy all about what he will be doing when he goes to his forever home.This book is good for kids, because you can have a nice discussion afterwards. Explaining how Sammy made a bad choice running away, you can also discuss misunderstandings, and teasing in this book. Definitely a nice read, with a moral at the end of the story. The photos are also nicely illustrated and engaging. I wish I could get a hard copy of this book!I depend on reviews when deciding to purchase a product, a lot of the times reviews will sway me one way or another.
