About the Author Timothy Chhim is a motivational speaker and owner of an Allstate Insurance Agency in Nanuet, New York, USA. He was born in a rural village in Cambodia and from a young age dreamed of freedom and a better life. When the communist Khmer Rouge, under the leadership of Pol Pot, seized power in 1975, Timothy was among thousands who were forced to leave the capital city of Phnom Penh. He was singled out as an educated citizen as well as a Republic official, having served as a police officer, and was sent to the jungle to be killed. He managed to escape, after many failed attempts, and survived to reach the safety of Thailand and later the USA. Tom Cunningham is a motivational speaker, radio host, and life coach. He was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of five, a disease that affects every joint in his body, causing constant pain and making many day-to-day activities challenging. He has been in the hospital over 40 times for numerous surgeries. In addition, high doses of the steroid prednisone stunted his growth, and he stands 5’1” tall. Despite the pain and challenges that come from living with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Tom chooses a positive mental attitude, and answers “Amazing!” to anyone who asks how he is. Tom and his wife, Kim, live in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. Taylor Tagg is a published author, professional speaker, and radio show host. He has written three personal growth books, Enrich Your Sunrise, The Path to a Peaceful Heart, and co-wrote Adversity to Advantage. Taylor's podcast, Journey to Success, showcases people who are passionate about making a difference in the world with transformational businesses and ideas. Taylor's natural talent lies in coaching people in how to fulfill their emotional and spiritual potential. By Suzy C This book describes the stories of three men who demonstrated how the power of a positive attitude and perseverance helped them overcome difficult obstacles in their lives. As the daughter and teacher of Killing Fields survivors,Timothy and Kim Chhim, I have been greatly influenced by their optimism to see the best in every situation and to use that positive energy to affect those around me. Using Tim's story as well as speaking about Tom's and Taylor's experiences, they have made a huge impact on my students' lives. Their stories has inspired them and they are starting to see how they can handle challenging situations in their lives in other ways. This is a must read book! Also, if you are able, you must try to have these men come and speak at your schools or any motivational events; they are incredible men with incredible experiences to share!

Was seeking my usual dose of "entertaining hardship" stories, you know the type, a tale of courage, endurance, and achievement, so impressive that the degree of my own personal challenges pale in comparison. You see, drawing off the strength of others' helps me get through my day with a little less angst and self pity. That's why tales of super-human achievements are a mainstay on my night stand.But this crafty little book offered an unexpected twist. It engaged me on a different and deeper level than usual. The story tellers some how lured me off my mental sofa and into exercise mode. Trust me, I'm too lazy, or too old, or too wise, for mental exercise. However, these authors (with the aid of an excellent editor I'm sure) enabled me to shake off the cob webs in some rarely visited corners of the mind.Not to scare you off, but this book triggered some over due introspection. The good news is that its dose of medicine is more powerful and longer lasting than the typical book of its kind.A delightful page-turner filled with fortitude, good will, and actionable guidance. Many thanks and good wishes to the authors. Kudos to the editor.

By Amazon Customer This book opened my eyes up to the possibilities of parenting abroad! It gave me confidence that my love of travel and exploration does not need to stop because my children are entering school. I loved how honest the authors were, even when their experiences weren't glamorous. I read this entire book in one sitting and have been researching how do make a similar move with my family. It's a great read to explore family dynamics, parenthood and the trials and tribulations of living abroad. From understanding utility bills, foreign cuisine and public transportation, the authors did a remarkable job of navigating the reader through their adventures.

Our book club chose it as this month's book, since we have a few teachers in it. But, as it turned out, it's a joy to read,and you don't need to be a teacher either.The book follows 3 different women teachers who leave the the US behind to teach in Hungarian schools with families in tow for a full school year. Their stories are wonderfully written with ups & downs that come from not knowing the local language to the differences the way school children are taught & learn. Each of their stories are filled insights & funny happening that make the book a enjoyable read from start to finish.

By Susan McNerney Like pulling back a curtain and peeking into the private lives of three families negotiation the newness of another culture. I was particularly drawn to how this adventure seemed both to enhance marriages and sibling relationships, as well as challenge them to the point of anger and exhaustion. As a child therapist, I found myself particularly frustrated by the communications with the elementary school teachers and was rooting for some type of vindication, which ultimately resolved without the fireworks I envisioned in my head, but with a greater acceptance and appreciation for how another culture views children and education. Most importantly, if you are ever experiencing wanderlust, and concerned that it might not be good for your family....take a peek at this wonderful memoir....you might decide it's the BEST thing you can do for your family.

He and his handler, venture capitalist Daniel Gladwell, are about to close an important merger with a conservative Italian corporation and see Ivy as the perfect person to make Jack "change" his ways. She agrees to pose as Jacks fiancee in order for enough money to allow her to go back to college and help out her parents. As the ruse continue Ivy and Daniel grow closer and begin to have feeling for each other. Who will Ivy chose? Jack or Daniel....This is a cute book that features a nice twist on the fake engagement plot. It was a fast, fun read that was just right as a feel good book before bed. I was given a free copy for an honest review by netgalley.com

By Samantha Bilodeau Very cute story with sizzling sexual tension practically from the get-go.Daniel was very believable as a workaholic with some interesting motivations. He was flawed in a way that worked, though it was a bit crazy how cold he could be! You could feel the ice when he turned it on! Ivy was a bit pathetic at times in regards to her life. I didn't get much of a sense of her having much of a drive, but this works well for an "opposites attract" type of story. The biggest thing to her being her family was admirable, as was her work ethic.There were some really adorable lines in this, especially from Daniel. "When this is all over, and we’re back in New York, I promise you’ll not only stay until morning, but I’ll wake you with breakfast in bed. How does that sound?”"The dialogue throughout felt very genuine, including the big fight. Fights aren't always written so well in fiction, so definitely big kudos to Maggie Dallen there. It was emotional in exactly the right way. The one issue that I have is the amount of times that everyone says "You're an idiot" or some variation always including "idiot." I think that maybe adding some sort of acknowledgment of it being used a lot would make it less repetitive.All of the supporting characters were wonderful! I look forward to more about Jack and Holly in the next book, as I really liked what I got to know of each in this one. Jack really infused a good amount of humor into every scene he was in.This story was fairly predictable. I saw the Brunelli's plan practically from the beginning (sneaky old man! ;)), and the end reveal from a ways off, but the little hints here and there were cute. Overall, a sweet and sexy romance that I would recommend to any fan of the genre!* I received an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley.com in exchange for an honest review. My opinion is my own.

By Jen Valencia Another beloved series is coming to an end, but if there was an ideal way to bring author A.J. Pine's If Only... series to a close, this was the way to do it. I Do is the third and final book in what has become a series that has put my heart through the wringer three times over. Duncan McAllister and Elaina Tripoli are about to tie the knot with a wedding in Greece, but it looks like they, along with Noah Keating and Jordan Brooks, Griffin Reed and Maggie Kendall, and Miles Parker and new addition Alex Karas are about to unravel as assumptions are made and secrets are kept, leading to our cast of characters forced to confront their fears and hang-ups when it comes to love, commitment, and their respective relationships.I adored how the love stories of the three couples fans of the series have grown familiar with have come full circle with this book. We've seen the ups and downs specifically that Noah and Jordan and Griffin and Maggie had to contend with in their respective stories, and Duncan and Elaina are definitely not immune from their own set of issues and insecurities. This book also shows that while we thought the first two couples got their happily-ever-afters in the first two books, life has gone on and hasn't been a bed of roses for either one. They still have their struggles and try to do their best when it comes to making their relationships work. It's a true reflection of real life because life does continue past that happily-ever-after.Miles was a revelation in this story because the last time we saw him, he was in a relationship with Paige, Maggie's neighbor. He was an amazing friend to Maggie and was more than supportive of her in the second book, and while I was surprised that his thing with Paige ended, I was thrilled that he got his own chance at happiness here and that it was with Alex definitely gets bonus points because I'm always one for diversity in all forms. With everything this book had to offer, my sadness at seeing the series come to an end is tapered off by the fact that I got more than I was expecting with this conclusion. I grinned, I giggled, and I fell in love with these characters all over again. Read the full series, people. Five-plus stars for I Do. ♥

It was so perfect, I cried and laughed and cried some more (but happy tears) and I'm just really in love with this book and AJ's wonderful characters.Is there anything better than happy endings? I used to think no, but A.J. has proved that there is, what happens after the happy ending makes for an amazing, entertaining, emotional story that I still can't get out of my head.This is the last book in a wonderful series, where we get to see 7 wonderful characters travel to Greece to attend one of the most terrifying but amazing events in adulthood, a wedding.This is the perfect book to show what happens after the happily ever after, when life is still happening to the characters, every single one of these characters learns something in this book, they all have an adventure that I felt solidified the fact that they aren't New Adults anymore, they are adults-adults, and that being and adult-adult is nothing like what we imagine it's going to be.One of my favourite things about A.J's books is that they always feel like my feelings got in a roller coaster and she starts twisting my emotions from the very first page until the last word, in I Do I got to revisit 3 of my favourite couples and reading about what they have been up to since they got their happy ending made me insanely happy. We get to see how they are starting to build their lives as actual adults and I have always been fascinated by that transition, that moment when you don't really have school to fall back on anymore and this book showed all the fears of that transition along with all the amazing emotions that come along with it.As any millennial, I am terrified of adulthood, but books like this make me not feel so terrified, it's amazing reading about how a happily ever after is something couples have to constantly work on, this book felt very real in that sense, because all of these wonderful couples are facing real life challenges, they are growing up and because of that their relationships are inevitably going to change, but the fact that they want to keep working on them, the fact that they want to love each other through it all, I think that's what makes a real love story fascinating, it's not the fact that we all just assume they characters get their happy ending and that's that, it's the fact that you know that not matter what life (or the author) throws at them, they will stay together because they have developed into characters who if they were people in real life, would know that love takes hard work.I'm going to miss these characters immensely, but I know for a fact that wherever it is fictional characters go to keep on living their happily ever after, Maggie, Griffin, Noah, Jordan, Duncan, Elaina, Miles and Alex are happily settled.

I did not read the first book in this series but I read the second (and loved it) but I did not feel lost at all while reading this - it can totally be read as a standalone. Still, I would suggest What I really enjoyed about this book was that it wasn't something filled with a bunch of silly drama or couples breaking up. Most of the couples were already established but had things pop up in their relationships that they have to work through, I loved that this wasn't angsty, just a cute, sweet romance. I loved all the couples in this book and I loved the epilogue. I think the characters all getting their own POV made this a really fast-paced book. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by this author!

Another stellar book from Kendare Blake and an amazing conclusion to the series By My Friends Are Fiction My Thoughts: I am so in love with Blake’s writing and her ability to write gruesome things and yet make them seem beautiful. This series has been wonderfully executed and this last book might just be my favorite of the three.The story picks up where the others left off and Athena, Cassandra and crew are still searching for answers and trying to pick up the pieces after the battle on Olympus. Once again the writing was strong and the pacing fast. The action scenes were amazingly detailed and we get to venture into the character’s emotions.Ungodly really ventured into Cassandra’s story and how everything that has happened changed who she is and what she wants. I’ve always felt a tad detached from Cassandra but in this story that changed. A new character was introduced, Thanatos, that I absolutely fell in love with. The interactions and chemistry between these two was one of my favorite aspects of the story. I only wish they had had more page time together. Somehow reading about Cassandra’s interactions with Thanatos gave me an emotional connection I’d not had previously. Honestly, their chapters were some of my favorites.Athena was still a badass though she struggled with guilt for the haphazard battle on Olympus. Maybe for the first time in her existence she really struggled with knowing her place and role. I have really enjoyed watching Athena delve into her emotions and begin to accept her feeling towards other characters. I loved her character arc across all three books. Really, all the characters are incredible and I love them all. I was even able to find some love for Ares and his hell hounds.I’d say that the pacing was about the same as with the prior books and really this conclusion was what I wanted it to be. Some things are left unanswered 100% but enough is alluded to that you can easily guess at some of the outcomes. I do think I’ll be wondering what happens to each characters years from the final showdown.Final Thoughts: As always I adored Blake’s writing and characters. The mythology thrown into a modern setting was done amazingly well even inspiring me to do some Google searches on some lesser known gods. I think it’s obvious that Kendare Blake is a favorite of mine and an auto-buy author. Do look for her next book, Three Dark Crowns, coming from Harper in 2016.

Yet I was so nervous when I finally got my hardcover. I was scared that I might not love it. Turns out I had nothing to worry about. It was perfection. Such a good ending. Best book of the three. And I loved book one and two to pieces. So thrilled that I loved Ungodly even more.I have enjoyed this trilogy so much. Antigoddess and Mortal Gods and Ungodly. All three books were amazing. Such stunning writing. Such amazing and awful characters. I adored and hated them all. This book had the perfect ending. Though I do wish it had been a bit longer, lol. There was one scene I really wanted.But oh, how much I loved this book. Once I started it today, I could not stop reading. Was sucked in from the very first page. There are a few different point of views. Cassandra. Athena. Henry. And a few others too. I loved reading from them all. It was all so interesting and exciting and heartbreaking and I loved every moment. Though, I must confess, my favorite character is still Athena. And I wanted to read her point of view at all times, lol. She was just the very best in my eyes. So broken, yet so proud and strong. I wanted the very best for her. And I loved reading about her oh so much. But I did love the other characters. They all have their own story, and I loved reading about them all. But my favorite was Athena. And Hermes too.I'm never going to be able to share why I love this series so much. But I will try to talk a little bit about it. It is just. So close to my heart. The story is amazing. The writing is so easy to read and so well written. Kendare is all kinds of adorable. She's so kind and sweet. And she writes amazing books. I simply cannot wait to read whatever it is she is writing next. She's the best. And her books are always amazing. Sigh. So excited for her next books. Anyway. More about this one. Which I adored so much.There is so much I can say about Ungodly. I want to talk about all the spoilers, lol. But I will try my best not to. But oh, it is hard. The biggest spoiler made my heart the happiest. But one of the things I wanted the most to happen in this final book did not. No more Aidan. While it made me so sad, I must also say that I'm sort of okay with him not coming back from the dead. But yes. So sad. I loved him so much in book one. Sigh. My heart still aches. But the story was still the most amazing without him in it.I had such complicated feelings about Cassandra in Mortal Gods. And I still have. I loved her in the first book. But she got so bad in the second one, for good reasons. And in this final book. I sort of still don't like her. Yet I love her at the same time. But I still don't get why she hates Athena so much. And that just breaks my heart. Athena does not deserve that. But even so. Cassandra changes a lot in this one too. She wants vengeance. And she does a lot to get it. I loved reading about every moment of it, lol.There are so many characters to love in Ungodly. We see more of Hermes, whom is still so adorable and fun and sweet. Yet dying the most awful death. I cannot. It hurts so badly. He is the sweetest. And we see more of Henry and Andie too, and I adore them both. A bit romance too. And it was so sweet and ahh. Adorable. I loved reading about how Henry needed to fight. Loved reading about all of it. They are all such stunning characters. Written so well. My heart ached for all of them. Loved them all. Sigh.I even grew to love Ares. Whom has done lots of bad things. Yet he was so awesome in this book. He does something really amazing near the beginning of the book. And that just warmed my heart towards him right away. Ugh. And his last two wolves were just so cute. Aw. Yet vicious too. Yeah. Ares ended up being amazing. I still didn't like Calypso. How she thought she had a claim on Odysseus. Hmph. But I loved her friendship with Cassandra, and I did like reading about her. For the most part. She was okay.Then there is Athena, my precious. And Odysseus. Book two ended with him about to die. This final book begins with Athena having taken him to the underworld, where he is not dead or alive. She tries to save him. And I won't say more than that. Just. Athena is my favorite character of them all. And I adore Odysseus to pieces too. They have the cutest romance. I want more more more. I loved every moment of romance in this book. Ack. Just wish there had been a tiny bit more, lol. But still. It was perfection.I should mention the plot a bit too, lol. I just loved the characters so much. All of them. And oh, a new character too. The God of Death. I actually liked him. And his almost romance with Cassandra. I thought I would dislike it. But I didn't. Because there was no romance, not really. It could happen. But not yet. She still mourns Aidan. And I love that. But yes. I liked this new boy. And I wouldn't have minded seeing more of him. Though he was so bad too. He has killed so many people. But still. I ended up liking him.But yes. I was going to talk about the plot. It is perfection. The gods are still at war. So many are still dying. And it is the most heartbreaking thing. Yet so interesting to read about and so exciting. I loved the fight scenes. Basically, I loved every scene, lol. This whole book was amazing. I loved learning new things about the war, about how to fight it, about how it might be possible for the gods to win. How it might be possible for them to stop dying. But it isn't without a price. It was all kinds of exciting to read.Ungodly is a perfect ending to an incredible trilogy. I could not have loved it more. The writing is stunning, the characters even more so. The plot is exciting and heartbreaking at all times. It was the ending I had always wanted. Perfect. If you have yet to read this stunning book, then you really must do so. Antigoddess and Mortal Gods and Ungodly were all three amazing books. I loved reading them all. And I cannot wait to read them again and again. Which I will. And you should do so too. Go buy them.

Ungodly is the last book in The Goddess Wars trilogy and it did not disappoint. I love this book, I love the beautiful stories each character brings. This book yet again proves the talent Kendare has. I don't want to give away spoilers, but you will be emotional while reading this. My complaint? That this is over!!! How much longer until her next book comes out?
