Fans of Bella Andre, Sylvia Day and Maya Banks will love Jami's latest steamy story! Wendy Carmichael's career as a high-powered attorney leaves her little time for a love - or sex - life. She has a broken engagement to prove it.  With everything she's worked for on the line, she can't afford to be distracted -especially not by Drew Walker.  The first time she laid eyes on the brash, cocky millionaire five years ago Wendy knew that giving into the chemistry sparking between them could only lead to trouble. But when they're thrown together at a party in paradise, his wicked smile and rock hard body draw her like a moth to a flame.  Convincing herself one night of indulgence can't hurt, Wendy decides to find out once and for all if being with Drew is as hot as she's always imagined. But Drew isn't satisfied with just one night, and neither is Wendy. When Drew proposes a no holds barred, no strings attached affair that will end when he moves across the country, Wendy can't say no. Yet as the nights pass, each hotter than the last, Wendy discovers that what she thought was casual is anything but, and has potential to be so much more. Now she fears that when cocky, too sexy for his own good Drew walks out of her life, she'll be saying goodbye to the man of her dreams.   Praise for Private Pleasures: "Like all of Jami's books, Private Pleasures is sexy, hot, and full of emotion. I loved watching the sparks fly between Wendy and Drew!" -- Top 10 Kindle bestseller Bella Andre "Private Pleasures is a fantastically sexy battle of wills between a hero and heroine who are equals in every sense of the word. By The Book Runner If you are looking for a book that is mostly sex without romance, love or commitment and very little story line, this is the book for you.Womanizer Drew Walker has dreamed of Wendy Carmichael since he met her five years ago at a friend's wedding. He gets her to agree to a short term affair with him, hoping to get her out of his system before he moves from San Francisco to Boston. After just being dumped by her fiance six months before, Wendy agrees to Drew's idea since she finds him almost irresistible. So the reader is taken on a six week sex-a-thon while these two supposedly fall in love. Ha! Lust and love are not the same things, and these are the two most career selfish people you have ever seen.I did not find either character very likable and would not give their relationship 5 months. I like my romance novels to actually have some romance in them.Would I/Did I buy it? Yes (.99)Would I read it again? NoWould I recommend it to friends? No

By Amazon Customer While I enjoyed the actual STORY in this book, I almost couldn't concentrate on it, because of all the grammatical errors, missing words, misspellings, punctuation faux pas, and typos. I don't know how these Kindle editions come to be... whether they are scanned in by the publisher or typed out by means of a Dictaphone, but all of the written errors were ridiculous. In some places, "his" was written instead of "hers"... "door nobs" - really??? KNOBS. There were SEVERAL places where I had to reread a sentence because an entire word was missing; which wasn't helped by the fact that there were so many run-on sentences, that sometimes you had to start the paragraph over, because half a page was one paragraph, but also one sentence. This author was definitely no English major. That aside, I found the story-line interesting, and the characters likable enough. The sex scenes were interesting, but surely there's more than one word for that part of the male anatomy? Fairly one-dimensional, and riddled with errors on almost every page made getting through this book a real challenge for me, but the plot and story-line flowed well. Clean up all the errors, and it would be a much easier read. As it is, I will not be torturing myself enough to read another title by this author.

I would have like to have a more concrete ending and even Alan catching his ex happy with an adontis of a man equally a playback moment. It was a quick cant put it down kind of book that I enjoyed a lot. I just felt there needed to have some closing in some areas like Alan finding out or her best friend hearing the good news and planning a wedding. I am left wanting more!

"...A delightful tale of a brave little girl that will enthrall readers of all ages." C. Miller Fully Restored un-revised Illustrated edition for all ages. As with many illustrated classic stories, it is a story with unique characters and deals with hope, determination, compassion, and much more. In the opening preface, Robert Landsbury discovers the diary in a shed on a newly purchased estate in River Falls, Ohio and passes it along to his associates. The diary is faithfully preserved for today's reader. In it, the reader will discover that a ten-year-old mute girl, Tammy Wurtherington residing in the Wixby estate is the author. She loves to make dolls in a shed out in back of the house. She lives with Lord Wixby and Aunt May in a lavish estate at the edge of town. Aunt May teaches her to use a sewing machine and gives her a small one suited to size as a birthday gift. One day while constructing a toy soldier for her brother, Alfred the Mouse appears and is impressed with her ability to make doll outfits and reluctantly invites her to follow him to Kira if she will bring along the sewing machine. Tammy keeps a diary of her exploits in Kira which is ruled with an iron-hand by a pair of sorceresses, Catherine and Lucinda. Tammy and Alfred find their way through a fantasy underground transportation system that ends up with the pair mistakenly ending up in a wicker-basket in the middle of the ocean. Tammy finds her voice for the first time and Alfred explains that it is a “talking spell that allows virtually everyone to talk including the pesky (giant) flowers.” From this point you will discover many wonderful characters like Zeke, the Flying Opossum, and Cedric the Mongoose, who accompany Tammy on her journey to Capira to present a petition to return the kingdom to its former glory. You will meet the pirate, Captain Flynn, who loves to have his guests walk the plank and the loveable Kakuna villagers who's harvest is soon to be confiscated by the royal soldiers. But please beware of the Oxboar forest, where the evil Hoarggs reside otherwise you may end up in a stew-pot. Tammy has an adventure in which she learns to love all the strange living creatures she encounters in a magical land. Before she departs, all of Kira will fall in love with The Little Doll Girl who changed them forever and became a legend. This book is suitable for 8 to 12 age readers and contains 7500 words. A shorter edition for 8-10 is available with 3600 words. The full-length edition for 10 to adult readers contains 34,000 words. This book is available in Spanish editions. Note: Amazon LOOK INSIDE may show out-of-focus distorted display. The KINDLE download does not have this problem. AMAZON is looking into this technical problem and plans to correct it soon.

In the preface we discover that it was recently discovered by Professor Landsbury in an old shed in his Ohio back yard. Tammy writes of her fascination with her aunt's sewing machine and begins making dolls in the shed. What follows is a magical journey to Kira where she travels across the enchanted land in a quest to bring the kingdom to its former glory. Evil princesses, Lucinda and Catherine rule the kingdom with an iron hand that must be stopped. Before the quest is over you will meet a rag-tag group of pirates, the Kukana elves, the korgoyle, and the terrible Hoarggs. This is a wonderland where flowers and animals talk quite freely. Plan to fall in love with Zeke the adorable opossum and Cedric the flying mongoose who become best friends with Tammy. The diary is lavishly illustrated and will bring the story to life for the youngest and oldest of readers. One can easily compare this to Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, Narnia, and other children's classics. Like the classics, it is magical and introduces the reader to a joyous world of imagination like no other. In that this is one of eight books is a delight for this reader as one can only imagine what delights lie before us. Tammy Wurtherington is a joyful spirit that gives us hope as only she can do. Before the tale has come to the final pages we can see that a brave little girl with a big heart can make dreams come true.

It is a magical tale like Narnia or Alice In Wonderland.Tammy is mute and a very creative little girl. One day when working in her workshop she meets a talking mouse and follows him to Kira; a land where even the animals speak. The inhabitants of Kira are ruled by two evil Sorceresses, Catherine and Lucinda. Tammy listens to the stories of harsh taxes, little food and decides to start a journey to take a petition to the capital city on behalf of the citizens. On her journey she meets all kinds of inhabitants from the Kakuna to the Hoargg. The whole kingdom is afraid of the Hoargg with rumors that they eat anyone that comes into their forest. Tammy, of course, doesn't believe they could be that bad and insists on going to meet them. After all, if they are to defeat Catherine and Lucinda all of the villages must be united. What follows is a story that includes lessons on courage, compassion, not judgingthings/people by how they look and more. The lessons are subtle but they are there. This is a great book for parents to read with their young children. The lessons truly will benefit all and the story is magical.I received this book free from the author through Library Thing for review purposes. Just a short note in addition to the review: Make sure when choosing the Little Girl Doll that you choose the age appropriate one. There is one for ages 8-12 (a bit shorter) and one for 12 to adult.

I would agree, the main character is a little girl (Tammy) who finds herself in a fantastic world with all kinds of creatures, some friendly and some evil. The events in the world of Kira give Tammy the chance to develop bravery, friendship, and leadership skills, which she had a harder time with in her real world. There are different versions of the books for different age levels. I do appreciate that the sorceresses and their evil spells are shown to be wrong, while the "good guys" go into battle after saying a prayer to God.I received a free copy of this book through Goodreads

True love waits forever…   For Erik Lindholm, it’s been a long climb to the top of his company. Now, as president he has the power to bring his vision to life and speed his company in bold new directions. If that means a complete staff overhaul, so be it. If that means firing the woman who left his heart in tatters fifteen years earlier, it’s a business decision, not personal…   Beryl Foster is highly competent and respected by everyone at the office. But rumors of a big shake-up are rampant and—surprisingly, scarily—Beryl’s job as CFO is on the line. Fifteen years ago she made a decision to put her career before everything else. It was also the last time she and Erik shared a life together. Every Christmas is a reminder. This one could be a second chance…   “Struth has a gift for layering stories within stories while keeping them all connected.”—Library Journal   “Struth is an author to watch!”—Laura Drake, author of RITA-award winner The Sweet Spot   “Sharon Struth writes a good story about love and loss. She knows her characters and has a path she wants them to take.”—Eye on Romance

5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Second chance Christmas romance By Vox Libris 3.5 starsBeryl and Erik loved each other once. They planned to get married; they planned a life together. A professional opportunity presented itself to Erik, one that required him to move away from Beryl, and he took it, leaving her stunned and heartbroken. In the intervening fifteen years, Beryl has made a comfortable life for herself, if not a passionate one. She is the CFO of the company she worked for when Erik left, she has a small circle of close friends, and she's happy, albeit a bittersweet sort of happy. Erik, too, has a comfortable life. His professional success has led to him being announced as the new president of the company Beryl works for, a hire that may lead to her getting fired. These two have a wee tad of resentment built up for each other. She's hurt and angry that he left her, and he's hurt and angry that she didn't support his decision to do something he felt was right for him. When they meet again, there are a myriad of feels going on, one of which might just be lust. This is a quick, emotional novella, the story of two people never should have parted. Fifteen years is a long time, though. Maybe they've changed too much in the interim. And since it's set at Christmas time, it makes a sweet little holiday read.Disclaimer: review copy provided by the publisher in exchange for an unbiased review.Published on VoxLibris.net@VoxLibris

He should be happy, but when he realizes that Beryl Foster is the CFO of the company he's now in charge of, everything changes. Both have a history - together. However, that history was broken 15 years prior when they were each bent on achieving their career goals. Flash forward and they are each re-evaluating everything. Were the decisions made so long ago the right ones? Could they have made a terrible mistake? Is there any way to fix things between them? This is a sweet story of two people coming to grips with past decisions in a more mature way. They're older and wiser now. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. A lovely Christmas romance By Marsha @ Keeper Bookshelf Fifteen years ago Erik and Beryl were a young couple in love building their personal and professional futures. When there was a business decision to be made each had an opinion, and when a compromise couldn’t be worked out Erik made a decision to accept a job far away from where Beryl was building her career… without telling her first. Beryl walked away, and they each rose through almost a parallel of corporate ranks to high positions in competitor companies. Now the president of Beryl’s company is stepping down for retirement and bringing in an outside of the company man for the new president position – Erik.Beryl expected there to be a shakeup when her company’s president retired, she hoped in the back of her mind that she might be considered for the position but knew that was a long shot. She was also aware that with a new president there would be positional changes taking place as well – rumor has it that she was on the short list to be replaced. While her career has brought her much financial stability and pride, she also has another profession – one that she hasn’t advertised among her colleagues. She is a successful author of historical romances, publishing under a pen name. So should she lose her position she wouldn’t be penniless until she could secure another – she prayed that situation didn’t happen, but it is a business world that makes decisions based on the company president’s choice of who is best for the job.The absolute last thing she expected to learn was that the man she’d loved, trusted and planned a future with would be the one named as the new president. Now she had no idea of how to secure her future with this company with Erik at the head. Surely he would want to bring in his own team – and certainly they couldn’t work together with their history – could they?Twelve Nights is a delightful story of past loves reconnecting and rediscovering that the emotions have survived the years apart. The tricky part is how to deal with those emotions today – and with a company policy of non-dating within it’s ranks. And… it’s also a snapshot of just how social media has entered absolutely every aspect of our lives these days, even when we aren’t aware of the chatter.Erik and Beryl were such a believable couple in every aspect. A strong love may die down, but when the embers are tended to it can flare into a full fire once again. They have a charming history and an amazingly sweet Christmas tradition that involves a certain Christmas song. I loved spending time with this couple. They had a past that they worked out as intelligent adults, saw problems and came up with realistic solutions and stayed true to themselves within their compromises. This is a story that I will bring up on my Kindle at Christmas for years to come, a completely enjoyable, engaging, fun romance.*I received an e-ARC of Twelve Nights from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*

Filled With Ghosts is set in Southern Spain, where the characters’ lives intertwine due to their close proximity in their small village. Events make it hard for them to escape each other. But what binds their lives together, is as strong as their need to escape. Diana and Miguel live with their fifteen-year-old daughter, Heena at Pilar’s house, (Miguel’s mother). Diana’s friend, Tila, considers her psychotic episodes to be mystical experiences, and becomes obsessed with Heena - convinced she is a magician and guru. Miguel has an affair with wealthy Catalina and, when he gets her pregnant, marries her for her money and the villa her parents gifted her. He continues his relationship with Diana, dividing his time between the two women. When the violent past catches up with Miguel and Diana, how will they live with the consequences?
