18 of 20 people found the following review helpful. Great book but..... By Gina I really wanted to give this book 5 stars because it's a very nice book. Large, colorful and my kids are gonna love it. But the book I received was assembled wrong and it's very irritating. You open the book and its the end of the story, upside down. I attached a picture to show. I know this might not be that big of a deal but when you purchase something, you expect it to be put together correctly! Also, my oldest son is on the spectrum and I have a feeling this little mistake is going to be hard for him to let go. It's not really worth it to me to return it. I will keep it and read it because like I said, it's a wonderful book, just a little disappointed in the production mistake. Hopefully, mine was the only one.

It is a nice big size and the complete story from that Christmas episode is in there. With the regular smaller Golden Books they have to cut out a bunch of the story but these larger ones are great! They have large illustrations and they are longer so they can go into detail more. I am really glad that they started releasing more of these larger format books. Please keep it up!

I found myself completely caught up with the characters and story. At first, I was a little disturbed by the fact that the ending left some things dangling, but then I realized that, just as the characters seemed like real people that I might know, the ending was also like real life-- continuing on and leaving possibilities to be considered. It was a happy ending with the opportunity for future happy developments.

Lucy is a wonderful woman and she takes on the responsibility of fostering a young girl, Evangeline, whose mother is committed to a hospital for mental illness. Lucy has been through so much, the loss of her husband Sam and the death of friend and lover, Luke. She can't believe she might have another chance at happiness with her lawyer, Jim. With Sassy and Delia finished with college and working she is happy to have Evangeline in her life and have the healing effect of Peace Cottage bring her happiness. I love Lisa Kent's books and rate her right up there with Debbie Macomber . Love this series and hope for more.

Volunteers, guided by skilled staff, teach adult basic education, prepare students for the GED exam, and help students whose first language is not English learn.The stories of founders who started the organizations fifty years ago, and stories of tutors and students are heart-warming and challenging. You might even be inspired to volunteer at an adult literacy program near you.

By Kamna Jha I have read several books on autism but this book's uniqueness is reflected by the title itself as it offers concrete and practical guidelines to all queries and concerns on whatever level a child is on autistic spectrum.It tells us about physical interventions and positive handling techniques along with behavioural management strategis. Author tries to provide knowledge on how to help an autistic child by converting their emotional, sociology and behavioural challenges into their potential and skills. I am sure by reading this book any family dealing with an autistic child will get new hope and learn simple methods that they can apply and give a positive direction to their life.

The stories are funny and true By Patricia Northup This is an honest yet humorous look at the progression of Alzheimer's disease and how it affected one family. The tone is conversational as if one were having a chat with a friend. The stories are funny and true. I knew this delightful, loveable lady. I learned a lot and would recommend the book to anyone past forty. The book can help one understand how to help a relative or friend and know how far dementia has progressed. Another issue is that as we age, we need to understand whether our memory issues are "normal" or not.
