Welcome to Thistle Bend! Perfect for fans of Susan Mallery, this charming series debut introduces a small town where old secrets are revealed—and wounded hearts are opened to new love.   A year after being laid off from the Smithsonian, Lindsey Simms says yes to a job offer as curator of a heritage museum in Thistle Bend, Colorado (population 1,519). It could be worse—and it is. Because the new museum has escalated a dispute between the Karlssons, Lindsey’s relatives, and the Crenshaws, a blood feud which goes way back to a land deal that changed the fortunes of both families. Trying to stay objective, Lindsey can’t tell anyone about her conflict of interest—especially not the ruggedly handsome handyman fixing up her cabin, who seems to be keeping secrets of his own.   Although he’s the executive director of the family trust and one of Colorado’s most eligible bachelors, Carden Crenshaw prefers getting his hands dirty in town and on his sprawling ranch. Staying busy has given him an excuse not to risk heartbreak, but getting to know the beautiful “museum lady” makes him reconsider. Little does he know, the heat between them will only add fuel to the fire—unless this unlikely couple can prove they’re lovers, not fighters.Praise for Should’ve Said No   “A wonderful story of family, honor, trust, and generations of unexpected secrets . . . Cruz am new to Tracy March’s books and have become a quick fan. This story takes us to Thistle Bend, CO with a population of only 1519. Typical of small towns, there are friendship as well as feuds. Usually within the founding families.Lindsey was laid off her job at the Smithsonian Museum in DC and after a year of unemployment, got a job in this small town, thanks to her great-aunt’s influence. She is to gather information about the town, so that they can open a museum about Thistle Bend and it’s ancestors etc.Little did Lindsey know, that there were secrets to be kept that not only make her uncomfortable, but could easily jeopardize her new friendship and attraction to Carden Crenshaw. He is one on in charge of the Crenshaw Trust. When she met him upon her arrival to town, she thought he was a handyman in grubbies and certainly didn’t look like the handsome ,clean shaven man she met the next day. His family and her relatives have been in a feud for years. Once Lindsey goes through all the files that are suppose to help her in the creation of the new historical museum in town, both families hope to get answers benefiting them as well as vindicate them.Lots of secrets, old hurts and experiences, will have you thoroughly enjoying this book.

When the opportunity presented itself to start a museum from the wood floors and up, she couldn’t pass it by. Well, she also desperately needed a job too! When her aunt and uncle told her about it, she was thrilled to know that she could contribute but there was just one thing, she couldn’t acknowledge that they were related. When she arrived in Thistle Bend, Colorado, she loved the quaint community and the fabulous landscape. What she didn’t know what that she was getting into the middle of a long time feud between her distant relatives and the wealthy land owners in the area. She met the grandson of those wealthy owners, Carden Crenshaw, before knowing who he was. And the sparks definitely were flying. That was just the beginning of the challenge to make sure history didn’t rewrite itself in more ways than one.The story definitely twists and turns in unexpected directions. But Lindsey eventually puts together the facts and displays them at the opening of the museum, hoping that they will be accepted and that she and Carden can be together forever.

By Books Laid Bare & Books Laid Bare Boys 4.5 out of 5Get your happy on with this remarkable contemporary romance. This is the sort of book that I just love to snuggle up with and devour. It gives me romance without the high drama but makes me work for it. It draws the outline beautifully and with it’s stunning descriptions I am able to colour in the pictures in my mind.I adored this book.I loved the whole family angst situation going on between the Hatfield’s and McCoy’s and I love the fact that the main characters are embroiled in the whole scenario. Both Carden and Lindsey are very easy to fall in love with. They have an easy charm that just wrapped its arms around me and kept me comfortable. They weren’t perfect but that is what made them perfect to read about, they weren’t just characters…they had character and that was completely engaging.I loved the storyline, the pace of the story and the eclectic cast of secondary characters, I am a shoe in for the rest of the series – can’t wait!
