Read for FREE on Kindle Unlimited! Reality sucks. Make-believe rocks. That's been Fate Floyd's motto for as long as she's been a fantasy geek. But now she can hardly tell what's real and what's not. She's been spelled and mysteriously trapped within a deadly fairy tale world bound by the Book of Fables. Her only way home is to travel through the book's 8 unfortunate fairy tales and change them into happily-ever-afters. And if dealing with scheming sorceresses, greedy goblins and heartless faeries isn't enough to test her sanity, there's Finn. The Scottish boy who looks like he stepped straight out of her dreams. Fate wants to believe in her own happy ending, but the reality is, her road to freedom isn't straight and danger lurks around every bend. A beautifully intricate fantasy infused with darkly gleaming magic, a feisty heroine and a romance sure to leave you breathless. Perfect for lovers of fairy tale adaptations and fans of The Ugly Stepsister, Unenchanted, and Cinder. Genre: Young Adult Fantasy Boxed Set (Fables 1 - 8) The Lonely Sorceress: The first unfortunate fairy tale in the Book of Fables. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. really enjoyed this series By Amazon Customer I really, really enjoyed this series. I can't wait for the next installment to come out. Fate is a teenage author who has gained some fame with her book, Magic Brew. On impulse she takes a taxi to her grandmother's bookshop that has been closed for several years. While there, she finds herself sucked into a book of fables along with a young man named Finn. The only way for Fate and Finn to leave the book is if they successfully change each story into its opposite ending. I was really at the edge of my seat many times.

Rae Mitchell made up eight small stories inside the books for the main character Fate with her friend Finn (and more to come later on) had to make the tales end in their complete opposites. As Fate went through these tales and saved everyone else she also had to save Finn as a darkness brewed inside of him. Each page held a new adventure in store! This is definitely a great book to read!
